Friend of mine told me about this gentleman and he didn’t disappoint. His writings are about life be it good or bad he has some dark poems in the book. I love it because life isn’t always roses and rainbows

The Treasure
This is the treasure. What I can say more? When I started to reading in English, now I can truly enjoy this kind art. He is little bit similar than me, he is also who tells how I live is just what living is. Life is now, you can enjoy what it is just now, become nothing. People sometimes say I am very simple person, but I seeing what life is just now is it, life. Beautiful masterpiece. Thank You Charles Bukowski!

An expansive collection!
A surprisingly expansive collection! Was fun to read some old favorites and to discover some new gems. It even has a couple brilliant sketches by the author and copies of handwritten poems. Excellent!

The Buddha of San Pedro
The editor captures Bukowski in the poet's words, without the heavy revision the work suffers in other publications. I didn't verify this, but the editor says it in the introduction, so I'm running with it. Life ain't all rainbows and puppy dogs. Some of us already know it. We're there or have been there. Uncle Buk pulls no punches when sharing his walk through the fire. This collection shares the best of those tales.

Edgy, unapologetic, coloring outside the line poety. My first real exposure to Bukowski (although I did watch Barfly years ago) and it's been an interesting experience. I haven't finished but I'm enjoying it very much.

His Poetry is 1000 times better than his novels
Is a selection an a very good one, the best ones are when he was old, so the critics were right the older he got the better he wrote.Bukowski as he said in one of his poems is a Hummingbird, a weird one but still one.
