Additional felt layer enhances the bond between the outsole and midsole whilst contributing to a more supportive and durable chassis. Q: Do they get very hot in long walks?

I haven’t experienced this, I walk 10k a day. Really comfortable boots. Would highly recommend.

Q: Do these boots keep your feet dry while walking in fields

Yes. Been wearing my current pair for 3 years and walk every day whatever the weather. They are waterproof even in the worst weather. Do remember to allow the leather to dry thoroughly and treat with good quality leather treatment. I usually use dubbin every couple of months. It keeps the leather supple and stops it from cracking which all leather boots will do if left untreated.

Q: Are the loops for the laces plastic or metal please?

My husband has had a magnet on them, definitely metal.
