I use this relaxer along with the ORS neutralizing shampoo and I find this effective for the hair and gentle on the scalp. I will continue to use this combo. I suggest that Affirm positive link conditioner, a moisturizing shampoo after the neutralizing shampoo as part of your routine to keep hair healthy.

The media could not be loaded. This relaxer is very strong. Make sure to follow the directions carefully. I have used boxed relaxers in the past and I never got results like this before. I haven’t relaxed my hair in a few years, but I have been coloring my hair. I had bright red hair about 8/9 months ago and used color oops to remove it which left my hair a bit damaged.I colored my hair about 3 weeks ago with a box dye from Walmart. Before I relaxed my hair I sectioned it into 12 braids for a faster application, and applied petroleum jelly to my perimeter. The relaxer didn’t burn or smell bad. It took me about 15 minutes to apply, smooth, and finally rinse it out which was way too long. When I was washing out the relaxer I lost more hair than I was expecting and I was very concerned. I couldn’t even comb it. I have very thick hair so I still have a lot of hair. I used a neutralizing shampoo, the creme of nature plex breakage defense 3 step system, silk elements leave in and glossing polish. I towel dried it and immediately put it in two braids.My hair has never come out this straight and silk from a relaxer before and I honestly love how it looks. I would recommend this relaxer, but you have to be very careful with the timing because I think that was my problem. (For my video I took one of the braids and my hair is still 25% wet)

I am a (black) brother and I can tell you that using THIS will get you many admiring looks from the Ladies!!! It’s smooth and it detangles and causes your hair to be brought to it’s FULL LENTH!!!

Good for relaxing

Relaxer worked out great to straighten my hair. I liked that the expiration date was easily visible.

I heard wonders about this relaxer and I watched some videos to use it as a texlaxer and it did the job, but it left my hair dry and dull. I have started using some moisturizing products and will continue doing it to recover my hair but I'm sure I won't try this relaxer again.
