Kokita Rendang Padang Dry Curry, 12 Ounce

This is a rich, medium (for me) spicy, sweet paste used for making indonesian rendang curry. I've never had a "real" rendang curry in Indonesia, but this stuff is sublime. Just cook a few tablespoons with some beef or chicken in coconut milk. When the water has evaporated, it's done. I have never had anything so wonderful.It's not huge amount of paste here, I only get about four curries out of it but I use a lot at a time.

This is my 2nd attempt to explain my experience, but since the grease had gotten everywhere due to the way it was wrapped up, I ended up tossing the whole thing as concerns about the freshness since it was opened with i got it.

It's really tasty, though I know nothing of authentic Rendang flavor, so I can't speak to that. I had used packets from Bamboe before, which were very mild, while this is very spicy to my palate. Once I adjusted how much I used, it was great.
