Just love it for what it is..
Still got it and still works! Note! Get a battery bank and charge the battery bank with it. Then charge your phone with battery bank. Protect your phone from unbalanced charging that way. Real use case scenario

It didn't work for long
I bought it to poweer 3v leds. It started out bright, then runs dim. Now doesn't work anymore. I crank it as hard as I did in the beginning. Waste of money.

I do value it, but I've had 2 break on the soldered handle crank...
Yes, the soldered handle snaps after minimal use, second one just snapped off straight away.So I was curious, so like most desoldering projects, I added a bit of extra solder to the joints and saw more come off on collection (frustrating). In the end, the handle snaps, the speaker wire connectors work alright until they also snap out of their sockets, but the geared motor is mostly solid (would assume that better grease would help) as well as (most of) the board. If you want to doctor it a bit, it's actually well worth it. I had recently added a bank of super caps to mine and a few wago connections for ease. It as a product is amazing while being horrible since you can get a better hand cranked assembly elsewhere, but not so much for a complete package. As for now, I need to weld the post correctly for the crank or get a better one. Frustrating, but I have to value all of it.

Technically works! Too dumb for USB charging.
So my unit does put out the correct voltages, and the regulator is pegged right at about 5.3V (on the 5 volt setting) no matter how fast or much I crank. The secondary output is unregulated and lets you fly up into the 20+V range really easily if you're just looking to break something. So not bad, reasonable accuracy. The only real trouble is it's not very practical to try and charge a power-hungry device such as a smartphone off the USB connections it has on board. The USB outlets have no "brain" circuits to let them negotiate power transfer to such devices, and as such they are stuck only ever drawing the smallest amount possible for a USB connection: 100mA. While easy to crank, you're charging a phone so slowly at that speed you're effectively STILL losing charge. There's no way to increase this that I have discovered; it's just the minimum safe current allowed on all USB devices. Also note, the USB ports are parallel connected basically directly to the output of the voltage regulator. This means that if you plug in a USB device and have the little paddle on the wrong voltage--that incorrect voltage is sent directly to the USB device, which will be damaging! User beware!Bottom Line:If you're looking for a cheap, simple DC power source that easily sets to 3, 5, 6, 9, 12, or 15 Volts and only really varies in amperage based on your physical fitness, this is the one. I can keep up about 1A at 5.3V with a bit of effort using the included crank. If instead you need a smart and proper way to charge a USB device manually in an emergency, this is NOT it. I'm still toying with how to introduce some brains to this little box to negotiate such charging, but I know it won't come easily and it's certainly NOT included. So my fellow customers, I leave you with these clear notes on the strengths and weaknesses of this device. Happy shopping.

Honest facts about this item
Its a hand crank very durable and after cranking for 25 minutes 1% on 15000mah power bank(cranking at 5v setting) , so it works! . (3v,5v,6v,9v,12v,15v are the different settings)the nut and screw comes loose in box, wish it was in a little bag. It almost got lost through the bottom of box
