Can’t fault watch in any way , I have a heart condition so the continued monitoring is a great way to keep an eye on the heart rate and I love the gaps tracking when going out with the dog , I can see all aspects of the walk broken down in graph form , the watch does so much and I haven’t started to get into all the things it can do , just found the torch on it pretty good for a quick light to look for something dropped outside at night , great watch and great applications in it .

There is so much to like about this watch and very little to complain about. It is smart on the wrist, waterproof and has a number of good looking clock faces available with just the swipe of a finger. A software update has also now given it a permanently-on-display which does not drastically reduce its battery life, which is a brand leader - I charge mine once a week. The digital display shows for a few seconds and then defaults to the simpler permanent display, when on the digital display it has four information screens reached by swiping across the watch face, these are; the chosen clock face, an activity performance screen (steps, minutes of activity and standing/sitting), a weather screen and a continuous heart monitoring chart for the day to date. At the press of a button huge amounts of workout/activity tracking, records and statistics are available. A swipe down shows a settings screen which includes a useful 'find my phone' one touch facility and a swipe up shows any recently received text messages, these also display in real time as they arrive together with a vibration alert.To really get the most from this device it needs to be pared with it Huawei Health App. In here the detail recorded about Exercise, Heart Rate, Sleep and Weight is extraordinarily detailed - for instance if you have compatible scales they record not only weight and BMI but seven other detailed measures!I love my watch but there are some other points I feel bound to make. Firstly, if you are a fanatical athlete you may find you need additional features, can't think what they'd be but it's possible. Secondly, you cannot make calls or send texts on this watch. It will alert you to calls and who is calling (if in your phone's address book) and it will show texts but that's it, for me that is more than enough but for other it may not be. Finally I have a small gripe about the very interesting sleep recording. It gives all sorts of fascinating information, and accurately records naps you may take during the day, but it insists on thinking I am asleep when I am in fact watching TV late at night. I've tried to raise this with Huawei with limited success so far but, to their credit, they do have a free telephone technical support team staffed with helpful English speaking staff who respond very promptly.So, a good looking watch, amazing technology, user-friendly app, good support and all at a very reasonable price - I paid £110. I would hugely recommend this watch. And I'm not a Huawei employee or a robot!

It's a good quality watch for the price I paid, and does what it does very well, but it's a little light on features to be honest so I bought a Huawei watch gt2 a few weeks later.I haven't worn my GT active since getting my GT2, but I probably will use it again at some point.......... or give it away as a birthday or Christmas gift or something.

I waited a month before reviewing this product to give the most honest review. If you are looking for a watch that is just an adaptation of your phone then this isn't the watch for you. This watch in my opinion is independent in it's own right and the phone connection is a bolt on. What I mean by this is that the features surrounding the control of your phone and apps are limited. You can read texts and messages from Apps but not reply and if you have more than one message come through at once from the same person it will simply state you have 2 messages rather than show you the message. With phone calls it shows you who is calling and allows you to decline the call, that's it.The features that I am most impressed with is what many people talk about. The battery life is excellent on the watch and charging is quick! The sports monitoring is equally great on the watch and whilst I haven't (and probably won't) use all of the sport features, the ones I have used have been accurate and helpful as a log and measure of my fitness. The heart rate monitor is also excellent and this links well with the sleep monitoring function which I probably look at the most.I have never worn a watch to sleep but the size of this watch is so compact (in the smart watch world) I hardly notice I have it on. It's comfortable to wear, looks smart and more affordable than most!Where it could improve I think is more watch faces to download, I have'nt quite found one with the exact set up/style I really want. I think there is so much potential with this watch! If your on the market for a smart watch I would strongly consider this option, I wouldn't change my mind!

My first smart watch and I'm very happy with the choice. I wanted a watch for sports activities but which is also good looking, so actually you can wear it on every occasion considering you can change the watch face to sport/classic/casual.There interface is very basic/simple to use and I've tried just running mode and swimming which give you not 100% accuracy but you can calibrate it so the next time will provide more accurate outputs. Battery life is great 1-2 weeks depending on usage. Love the design, not too big not too thick, maybe the bezel is a bit too glossy for my taste but at least is black and not chrome.Cons: you don't get whatsapp, messenger or other notifications, just sms and incoming calls which you can only reject from your watch.
