Nice System. Works well and is a good value
I needed an electric eye alarm for my garage to let me know when the car on my lift was getting close to the ceiling. (Not your average use, I know). This looked to fit the bill at a good price point. The system comes with everything you'll need to install it. The hardware is a little cheap and I did use some other screws to mount it, but this is not a deal breaker. The instructions are pretty easy and straightforward. Most anyone with average mechanical abilities will be able to understand them and install this.As with most jobs proper planning will save you a lot of headaches. Be sure to lay out the various components and figure out their final placement and especially where the cords will run and where it will be plugged into. While the cord on the transmitter/receiver is very long, the power adapter cord on the speaker is not and this means you'll have to b sure you have power close to where you want to put the speaker.Installation was pretty easy once I figured out the placement of the components. The real trick is making sure you align the receiver and reflector up properly. There is not a lot of room for error, but the brackets do allow for a degree of adjustment. One trick I did use was to lay out a string between my two intended mounting points. I then mounted the receiver and reflector along this string at a 90 degree angle to it. This got me very close to perfect alignment and I only had to make a few fine adjustments to get it perfect. Also, check the mounting brackets after you install them to make sure they are 90 degrees square to the surface you are mounting them on. (As long as the surfaces are square to each other). They can be bent by hand to make whatever adjustments are needed. In use this set up works great for me. I set it to go off if the car roof gets within 3" of the ceiling and so far, no accidents. I use the alarm setting which can be adjusted for its sound level and duration. These adjustments work well, although the volume level is a little low for me, even when set to its highest setting (I do have it in a noisy shop). Despite this, it never fails to grab my attention.Overall, I'm quite please with the design and quality of the system. It works well for my purposes and was relatively easy to install. The Seco brand seems to have a number of different systems and accessories to fit just about anyone's needs and if you decide to go with this one, you'll not be disappointed.

It works!
My Mom has Alzheimer's and we needed an alarm for the front door. Due to the way the door and frame is set up we had to do a little modifying to get the pieces attached to the wall properly. But it was no big issue and unlike the other stick on alarms this actually is still working several months later. It would be nice if it could be set a little louder but for our needs it's good. We will buy again if the other door alarms quit working.

Must Be Aligned Precisely to Work Properly - Then Works Great
This Seco-Larm is a very nice entry alarm sytem. Its only limitation is that it does not send the activation signal wirelessly and that it must be precisely aligned to work well. However, the sensor has a 22 foot cord to the speaker which can be placed in another location. The thin dc power cord from the wall wort to the sensor appears to be around only 5 ft.On the positive side, it does not require batteries and only activates when the detection beam is broken. If it had a seperate plug in speaker which received the tone signal wirelessly or a larger receiving area in the sensor so the alignment did not need to be so precise, it would be perfect. However, you get quit a bit of good equipment/hardware with this entry alarm for the price. It chimes ding dong once when activated and it has an adjustable volume control which is capable of playing a very low ding dong tone or a quit loud dong dong tone.I suspect the people who say it was dead on arrival or quit working did not have it precisely aligned. I myself was about ready to send it back, as it does not show a red light or appear to be on or acts intermittently unless it is precisly aligned. Once aligned though, it works perfectly. A little mounting putty allowed me to turn the reflector for precise alignment.Brackets are included with screws for mounting. I opted to discard the brackets and simply used two sided tape on the main sensing unit leaving some space on the outside so I could seal it with silicon later and attached it to the baseboard on one side of the door, and then used mounting Blue Tack putty on the inner back part of the reflector to mount it on the baseboard opposite the sensor then turned and positioned the reflector to precisly allign it. I then took some clear silicon and sealed around the outer back edges of the reflector and sensor to be sure that they would stay in place. If you prefer and needed, you could use some putty for the reflector alignment with the brackets also.By the way, I got a 'returned/used' one from Amazon which looked new for half price which works just fine.
