Light blue it is not
Great dye, but it shouldn't be called light blue! If you look at the color chart, it shows that this is a darker, almost cobalt blue. Luckily I went by the color chart instead of the name when I ordered the dye.I'd initially tried turquoise, which was lovely but didn't provide enough coverage for my yellow Fossil purse. After I went through that bottle, I ordered the dye in light blue. Two coats later, my formerly yellow purse is a bright and trendy cobalt blue! Awesome coverage. When using this dye, be very careful not to spill it anywhere. It will stain permanently. It also does a doozy on your hands if you don't use gloves. I chose not to use gloves because I needed the extra dexterity to get all the books and crannies on my purse. In addition to the neat swab that comes with the dye, I used a paint brush for tough-to-reach spots. In all, I'm very satisfied with the dye. My only problem is the name. :-)

Blue.. But I wouldn't call it "Light"
I use Fiebings Leather Dye for staining arrow shafts. It works great. I was hoping for a lighter blue though where this is just a hair lighter than the Navy Blue. More of a Deep Royal Blue.

Not Light.
I use alcohol dyes to color gourds. It is definitely not light on gourds. It is a pretty color, just not light.

Worth the extra cash.
Great product, two coats to change from tan > navy. Great finish. We'll worth the extra coin oulay as only used a small amount of bottle.

Easy to use, nice mid-blue colour
As one would expect from Fiebings the dye is great, easy to apply with a great finish but this is not a light light blue.

Good dye, poor instructions
Perfectly good dye but the instructions are minimal and although application with "dabber" is instructed, none is supplied. Also a Fieblings cleaner is stated, to remove previous finish. The dye appears to be identical to Dylon leather dye, and I operated according to Dylon instructions: meths or white spirit as a pre-cleaner, and I used the brush from some Dylon for application. Also, as recommended by Dylon but not mentioned by Fieblings: stuff the shoes with newspaper for ease of application and to reduce spillage into the shoes; and WEAR RUBBER OR POLYTHENE GLOVES as this dye stains skin (which after all is what leather is). Good product, good price, hopeless instructions.
