Shoyeido's Golden Pavilion Incense 450 Sticks - Kin-kaku

This brand is so ultra. I bought a box of the long sticks of this incense and fell in love with it. When I found out what company created it I was happy because I have bought incense from this brand before in the past and it did not disappoint. The smell is not floral and not musky but more of a sandalwood meets vanilla. It’s a very pretty smell. It will fill the room with its aroma easily, there are so many sticks in the box that I normally burn two at a time and it creates a lovely vibe. It Comes in a nice box and somehow they have made it so it doesn’t break and shipping. It probably takes around 20 minutes to a half hour to burn a stick. It’s not an overwhelming sent. It’s very muted but definitely there. I enjoy it and so does my boyfriend so I am really pleased with the amount and quantity that I have received. I am checking out the other aromas buy this brand slowly. But I feel like this is the best Japanese incense for the money.

Hands down the best and have have 1000's of clients and they all comment on how great it smells when they come to see me. This is the only incense I use now. The brand overall is top notch, but this is one of my favorite scents after trying almost all of them.

This is one of the purest and most environmentally conscious incenses on the planet. On top of that it also consistently smells and burns great. This company has been making it for over 300 years!!! What’s not to love?

These Shoyeido incense sticks are fragrantly lovely.

Love the scent and they last a long time. 1 drawback is the level of smoke given off by the sticks. They last 20-30min. If you are not familiar with this type there is no wooden stick. There are plenty of incense holders or even a glass jar can be used to burn them

It is a very subtle fragrance.

Not sure if “Koh” indicates a different variety within the Golden Pavilion incense lines but the sticks are shorter, a different color and don’t match the same scent profile as the longer 35ct. I don’t speak Japanese but the packaging is identical aside from “Koh” called out in the shorter higher qty box.

I've not ever been a huge fan of incense but the reviews were good so I thought I would try this as an alternative to sprays. Oh. My. Goodness! I absolutely love this incense!! I keep it at home and in my office. It is a relaxing scent that I adore.
