Necessary Accessory for Car Refillers
No-spill has one of the sturdiest yet reasonably priced gas cans at the time of my purchase. I've been using the gas can to refill my engines for about 3 years now and have had no issues....except when I tried to refill my car, I have to use a wooden spoon to open my gas tank open, then use a funnel to produce an opening for the gas to fall into, then use the other hand to push the No-spill valve to allow gas to flow out. It's a mess and I've been doing this for 3 years. I could do the whole bypass and add some screw driver, buy a new funnel etc etc. I ended up too lazy to do anything, but not too lazy to act like a clown every time I refuel my car.I am so thankful to have found this device while searching online one day. I saw a YouTube video about some body with a similar problem of mine and decided, "Yes, I need that". 48 hours later, Amazon delivers this and I try it out. It's a clear rubber tubing with a white solid cap on one side to allow you to push the tube into the gas tank. The rubber tubing is tight enough that fuel doesn't leak out through the spout side, and it's just long enough to have the fuel deposit into the tank without too much flex on the tube.It got the job done. Am I thankful? Yes! Is this worth the money....ehhhh perhaps. You can probably Macgyver something similar for $1-$3 at your local hardware store, but the cost of this isn't all that high either.

Mixed blessing....
Quite helpful on my diesel can to fill my tractor, but highly unsuccessful on a gasoline can trying to fill a generator with a large flat top surface. In that usage it even popped off, though fortunately no gasoline escaped. Not tried on a car, but I can see where that would be helpful.I do wish the attachment was a little more rigorous than just friction. While it works in the right circumstance, there are places where that is not sufficient (e.g. anywhere where there is a more than a slight bend). A non-deforming plastic - though it would cost more - would be a good solution in that case.Worthwhile, but depends on the circumstance.

Excellent safety and convenience
I have been using this spout for several years to add fuel to my Ford Ranger. I have been using it on a No-Spill gas can and the performance has been more than satisfactory. Of course, as others have stated, the tubing is too short but it was the plastic piece that prevents the gas from spilling that's most important. It forms a seal around the nozzle hole to keep gas from spilling out if I'm pouring faster than the tank can accept fuel. To solve the shortness issue, I bought a longer piece of tubing at a hardware store and while it has discolored and stiffened somewhat, it still works fine. It's important too that the tube is clear so you can see when the fuel has backed up so you can stop pouring.I'll be using this with an Eagle 5 gallon gas can (U2-51-S-Galvanized) that I got from Amazon because the 12" spout is too short and the 8" extension should give me the necessary added length to fully tip the can without contacting the vehicle. If it doesn't, it's another trip to the hardware store. Whether I have to do this is unimportant, it's the safety and ease of transferring a very dangerous substance safely that matters most.It should be noted that a lot of the naysayers on this product appear not to have considered the issue thoroughly. While it would be nice if the spout came with a longer tube (16" is my opinion), it's the fitting that seals the gas from spilling that's important. I do not think that this part can be easily duplicated and the cap is important to keep any gas still in the hose after the fuel transfer and the attendant gas fumes contained to avoid a potentially explosive environment in the trunk.

Does what I need
Decent addition to the very good no-spill Jerry can. It does slow down the filling process a bit as the can doesn’t get as much air back but it’s a small price to pay. I bought it to help with filling my Yamaha grizzly 700 that has a recessed gas cap and it does the trick just right.

Great add on
Bought this for my No-Spill 1415 1-1/4-Gallon Poly Gas Can. Makes fueling the snow blower a lot easier, and adding gas to the car works a lot better. If you own a no-spill gas can, this is a must have.
