These are 5 pairs of bookends which are ideal for my shelves to keep the books from tumbling when I remove one. There are metal but are not heavy duty but do the job never the less

The metal is too thin to be called 'heavy duty'. To make them stronger I removed the foam pads from one, then glued it to a second one with super glue, clamped them together overnight and it has worked - much stronger. So I got 5 decent heavy duty bookends in the end and managed to save my purchase. But they are not as described.

Good size.A little thin and bendy.Some rough bits needed filing down to avoid damage to books, which somewhat messed up the paintwork.

Really good and discrete book ends that I purchased when setting up new book shelves.I use these to hold up books and DVDs which I have on a new shelving set up I have in my lounge.

These bookends are very reliably holding the books in place on my large bookshelves, neat, unobtrusive and great value

These bookends are described as "heavy duty" which I cannot agree with.In reality the metal is just under 1mm thick, quite bendy, and gives under the weight of more than a few books.Not worth returning, but I'll need to find an alternative for two shelves of books.
