functional and beautiful
bought this after my original Huawei p30 bit the dust finally; it's getting a bit on in years, but the p30 itself is a great phone and I didn't want to move too far from what I was used to. comes with a bunch of accoutrements that my old iPhones didn't, including a serviceable case, and was just as easy to set up. it's a bit zippier- obviously, it's the upgraded version- and I do already miss no aux port, but they give you an adapter at least. only thing I'm not fond of is just how incredibly sensitive the screen is, but I'm hoping once the screen protector arrives that'll dull it down a bit.and, of course, it's absolutely beautiful, and I wish the newer Huawei phones had kept the iridescence.

I love this phone so much, great bargain
The battery life is spectacular, I bought it a while ago and it dies a little sooner than what it used to last year but not by much! It's huge yet it fits perfectly in my hand. There's a lot of cool aspects this Huawei has, and the camera quality is pretty good. HOWEVER Asian phones tend to have this automatic 'beauty effect' and it's incredibly annoying. Takes some time to get used to it, it's a bit tricky to lessen it's intensity since you can't turn it off. But for the battery life and it's effectiveness I can't complain too much. It's a beautiful color, definitely buy it a case. Slightly waterproof but don't push your luck. Oh, the storage capacity is AMAZING. I bought the 265 GB version so I never have to worry about storage capacity. The zoom is spectacular, I use it a lot when taking photos or trying to read something from afar. It's capable of fast charging which is a real treat.A few cons:The keyboard isn't intuitive if you're an apple user. I downloaded the Gboard app which is similar to the apple keyboard.-Sometimes the screen is sensitive and misinterprets your inputs. It's a bit annoying sometimes but it doesn't happen too much.-In the beginning it would constantly kick me out of the app I was using when typing. So annoying! Make sure to turn on your navigation bar, I did it and it was no longer an issue. That's it. Definitely worth the price.

Best phone on the Market.
Ever since the Huawei p20 pro I no longer consider apple in the mix. This phone is amazing, fast and the camera, the camera is like hollywood style, the low light pictures tuen out amazing, and it has a telescopic camera. ergo is great and it is dual sim, I use Att card in the USA and have chips for Canada Brasil and Mexico and the phone works great in all locations. While in the USA I use two seperate American chips one for work related item and my personal number. A fantastic feature is that both sims are 4g at the same time. In non Huawei phone you could only have 4g on one chip but not both at the same time. This phone allows both sim chips to run on 4g simultaneously. Battery life is Great. Crancks enough power that I can charge others people phones. This is an amazing phone and if you love pictures you wont find a better phone on the market today. With phone connectivity, I have not had an issue. The charger is fast in half hour it goes from 1% to 78% charged. My phone can handle water. I jump into the water of a beach in (phone went underwater) Brazil and no issue, The phone somehow knows how it is in water and protective features turn on. It included an earphone jack adapter for headphone thatnhave the traditional jack as well as a set of usb c head phones. Also one reviewer claimed it does not record in 4K, that is an untrue statement. It does record in 4k I attached a photo of the resolution selection page. the Default is FHD, for 4k you just have to select in the settings that you want to record in 4K. Great phone.

Bad Quality
Terrible quality. After two and a half years of usage, it recently and suddenly restarts from time to time without any sign and drives me crazy, ending up with a hardware malfunction. Don't buy such a trash-quality stuff!

Still decent in 2025
For a phone from 2019, it’s pretty snappy. Battery life isn’t fantastic but other than that, it’s fun to use. Pretty good cameras too.

Good looking phone
It's a great phone, looks nice, responds well, has a decent amount of features. The only problems I have so far is that the call volume always seems a little low compared to my old Galaxy phone, even if the volume max it out. It also doesn't seem to allow for expanded storage and has no audio port which means I cant hook it up to the non-bluetooth speakers in my car. Thankfully the phones built-in speakers work well enough to make up for that.

Great phone!
I eventually want to get away from Google services but the Huawei flavor of Android doesn't have everything I need yet.I had to tell the Google app store that I'm in Mexico in order for it to work. I'm in New Orleans so that's close enough, LOL. You can change the language to English although every now and then something comes up in Spanish. It's not a showstopper. This is the last Huawei that will work with the Google app store and even then, a lot of the apps I use have to be installed manually from the apk. Once you get used to the process it's no biggie. The battery is super long lasting and the camera is incredible! It can even do slow motion capture at a decent rate.I am very pleased by this phone and I'm a very picky person.
