Llama Llama Mad at Mama

great rhymes
Nice book to read. the whole text tells the story with rhymes. the story is about a baby llama getting really upset with his mama because she has taken him out shopping all day and he is tired of it (trying on clothes, picking out groceries...) and he throws a huge tantrum, throws stuff out of the cart, and then mama explains to him that she doesn't like shopping either, but she is so glad he is there with her, so the shopping trip turns out to be something they can accomplish as a team.great topic for toddlers.

Great book shame it's the same
My three year old loves these stories. I got this thinking it was something new only to find out it's the same story as llama llama shopping drama. Good thing we need books at grandmas!

Not actually about being angry as the cover and title would suggest!
Bought as we loved the llama bedtime book and wanted to reach our toddler about anger and their emotions but its actually about shopping in the supermarket!

Good series; red pajama is best
My sons all loved these books (age 2-4). The best is the Red Pajama one, in my opinion.

3 year old loved it immediately!
Made a great read aloud and a good choice for talking about learning to regulate feelings. She loved the rhyming rhythms of the text and clearly related to the story. The gentle arc of the story leading to Llama lama's little meltdown in the store completely engaged her. You could see her enjoy the little thrill of seeing all the stuff go flying from the cart and then the relief when the mama llama helps the little llama calm down and work together to solve the problem. Can almost see the wheels turning in her head as she processes the ideas in the story. She's asked for it again and again.

Llama Llama
Von allen Llama Llama Büchern das schwächste, weil völlig übertrieben der Wutanfall von Baby Llama.Die anderen Bücher sind sehr realistisch

You'll never go wrong with Llama Llama
I first stumbled upon this book in a bookstore, and I was instantly hooked. Every chance I get to introduce this story to a young child or a parent is successful. The stories in this series focus on the day to day events of the protagonist Llama Llama. The story line begins by introducing him in a context. The story builds up to a crisis where Llama Llama has a meltdown and (spoiler alert) his mom resolves the crisis by calming him down and reassuring him.The success of the story is threefold. First and foremost the pictures are adorable. It's absolutely hilarious to see Llama Llama and his feet in various normal day to day activities. And the expressions on his face are priceless. Secondly, the story rhymes brilliantly. The rhythm of the story is addictive and makes you want to read it, and youngsters listen to it, over and over. Finally, the adventure of Llama Llama are all ones that we can relate to-- as adults and children alike. Don't we all (want to) have meltdowns when things are not exactly as we think they should be? Don't we all wish that a calming and reasonable force would come in and allay our anxieties?I highly recommend the adventures of Llama Llama to children and their parents.
