This thing level up my showers and I can't stress that enough.The difference is night and day. You won't really notice it right away, maybe it'll take a week or two of showering, but that difference is absolutely there.First up, the biggest thing, my skin and hair. I used to shower and while I would apply lotion after, my skin would feel so dry and itchy after. It's like the water sucked the bounce out of my skin or something. It basically removed collagen or something. I live in North Carolina, and water here is more salty due to North Carolina being a bit under sea level. I have a water filtration system on my kitchen sink, for cooking water, but would love a whole house system. While I can't drop thousands on that now, I needed something, because balding and itchy skin is awful. I can say within four months of using this every day it's not just amplified my shower experience but solved the problems I listed above.My hair doesn't break as easy, while I've always used nice shampoo and conditioner, I had no idea how much the quality of bad water can contribute to that. My hair is so lush and soft now, it's really starting to breathe life into it again. I don't remember the last time my hair felt this good. While your skin is the biggest organ on your body, I figured okay yeah constantly bathing in bad quality water could lead to itching, but didn't think it would have this drastic of an effect. I don't even need lotion anymore, though I do still put it on. I used to get this pinkish/orange colored ring around my tub, it was from the water, that has since dissolved and is no longer in my tub. I can't say if that's even healthy or potentially bad to your tub/hardware over long periods, but it's gone now. This is from mineral buildup and while it's still in my pipes, and should probably use a plumber to get a softener installed at the source - it's not staining my tub.The other thing for me was the taste of water in my mouth, where I said, oh my gosh, it doesn't taste awful anymore. Now I'm not drinking shower water or anything like that, but a lot of times I brush my teeth in the shower and you sometimes get water in your mouth when washing your face - it's totally different. At that point I started to pay attention.Installation was super easy. Like less than five minutes. I did buy a better quality Teflon tape for other plumbing projects, so I just used that but it includes the Teflon tape. It's as simple as rinse the filter in water for a minute or so, put it in the case, screw the case on your shower head and then the filter case on your shower water line. It's like adult Legos, but easier, you won't have a problem. Then once it's installed, start using it, the changes will come I promise.I really can't stress how much nicer my hair feels, how good my skin has been, and how my tub doesn't look disgusting with orange tinted water everywhere after a week of showers. It's save me time, frustration, and has improved my hair and skin health. I really can't recommend it enough. 4 stars because description says stainless steel material, it is plastic. Will see how long the casing lasts. Overall, it was easy to install. Water pressure not changed. We have very hard water, and no this does not eliminate hard water, but it did make my hair and skin feel softer.

I was very skeptical... I decided to install it on the connection coming to the shower handle (check photo). It was very easy to install. No leak! I didn't have to use the provided teflon tape. It installed very easily and secure. It indeed adds some weight to the shower handle but that's ok.Usually, my water would smell Chlorine! This filter removed the smell completely. I am not sure how it does that very effectively without affecting the water pressure/flow! So far it does great job filtering.I have a clear plastic shower curtain, I can notice less deposits on it after cleaning while using this filter.The filter includes a spare cartridge. That's a good deal for 12 month filtering (6 month per cartridge). Good value for the money!!I'll update this review after using it for more time to show how the interior is looking like.When installing my shower head kit, I've removed the filter screen so it is interesting to see what this filter will catch.

This stopped the green mold under our soap and shampoo bottles… we have city water and it had a lot of magnesium which causes mold this filter, took it away, and my hair feels like cleaner
