Auguson Bread and Roll Mix
An excellent staple for a back up food supply. Easy to use, tasty and a great quantity for the price. For regular use and in emergencies.

Easy to use bread mix
I got this bread mix and had put it away under the counter because of how long that it stays fresh for Christmas I got a bread machine, so I decided to use this mix to help me make the bread in the bread machine and it works wonderfully! It makes a not too sweet loaf of white bread. It’s so easy to use and it is great quality

Apocalypse bread tastes great
So I bought a few things fm this company b/c of the long shelf life. It makes it easier with shortages that have been going on and this huge can was only $10. So good price. Good shelf life.It does need a lot of water and yeast. More than I’d thought being that it’s an emergency food. I didn’t think ppl would be using bread machines during the apocalypse? All this time I thought I’d be cooking on a rock in a campfire. Yeast not included. :(I’ve been making breads from scratch for a while and wanted something the kids could do. So easy was important. They provide recipes on the can, which I used.1. The bread machine recipe uses less ingredients to make dough. It does a great job. Tastes great. Used dough setting and then made dinner rolls, & sausage rolls with the basic bread recipe.2. Making the dough by hand is difficult b/c it is a WET dough. Think sourdough. I followed the directions and kneaded w the dough hook on my kitchen-aid.Tip for working wet doughs: Flour the outside after dough is kneaded. Don’t incorporate the flour into the dough, just keep it on the outside to work & shape. Flour your hands too. A lot. Flour the surface. Shape. And pinch to hold shape or dough will creep, blob, and look wonky. I made cinnamon rolls and they turned out great. In terms of taste, it’s a light, sweet bread. You can use it in anything that uses a basic sweet white dough. I’ll be using it again.

yummy honey-white (not the plain bread/roll mix though) (plus yeast and oil required)
This is honey white flavor. I'm not sure why Amazon shows the Bread/Roll mix picture while the rest of the listing and product description is clearly the honey-white mix. Both are good, I really like the flavor - but the amazon listing is confusing/misleading to people only going on the one picture shown. This is great stuff - it makes great bread/rolls. It's great for "long term storage" (10 years)- but I'm not sure it falls into "survival" - as the mix still requires you to have Yeast (not included) and Oil (not included) - which is fine for some - but not in situations where those "add-ins" are not available to you. Bottom line: If you like this brand, it's another good product - just be clear what you are getting.

Delicious Bread! Also great mix to customize!
Surprisingly delicious bread just following the recipe in the canister. Easy to make and everyone loves it. It is now a basic staple in my pantry (and on repeat delivery, of course). This bread mix is also great mix to customize and experiment with. The photos added are from my “cooking adventure” today (too lazy to go to the store but not lazy enough to stand in the kitchen and make bread rolls). Needed two hamburger buns for dinner tonight and figured I’d make them from this tried and true bread mix. I was all out of vegetable oil and decided to try some garlic oil I had in the back of the cupboard (primarily canola and olive oil). After adding it to the dry mix and foamy activated yeast water, it had a pretty strong garlic aroma, so I tossed in some rosemary and provincial herbs. After sitting 20 minutes, I made them into moderate sized dropped rolls, making two bigger in hopes of using them as hamburger buns. After about 12-14 minutes in the oven at 400F, they had risen more, lightly browned, and were ready to come out. The house smells amazing!Even better is that they taste amazing, and we’ve got gorgeous hamburger buns that will be delicious for dinner tonight.Enjoy! We sure do.
