This is a great alternative to running wires behind your wall
This is a great alternative to running wires behind your wall. I am able to fit two HDMI cables, one optical audio cable and the TV's power cord without issue; there's room for at least two more cables and it looks great when painted.I'm thinking the manufacturer assumed that most people that buy this would be cutting it, as there are eight pairs of mounting holes, but only four screws and four anchors. I used my own anchors to completely fasten the entire length, so make sure you know exactly how much you'll need to use for your install as it's only 30" long, and you may need every bit of that. I didn't feel that only fastening using two pairs of mounting holes would be sufficient, as it was not stable when pulling the cover off and it wasn't flush. After using all of the holes, it was fine. The cover easily snaps on and off of the mounted base, so if you need to re-arrange your wires, it shouldn't be a problem. The cover is also the only part that needs to be painted as it completely covers the base, and it looks pretty nice when painted to match the wall.Note the missing hardware (screws/anchors) and lack of bends or Ts and plan your install accordingly. I really like this, as my only other alternative to concealing my wires would be to run them behind the wall, but this was just a much cheaper and simpler solution.

Nice way to hide cords, easy to cut and trim with a hacksaw
Very nice and inexpensive way (I paid 8 bucks each for 2x 30 inch sections) to hide your cords for your wall mounted TV without having to go inside the wall. The material is very nice and easily snaps in place.See my photo. I cut some notches in it with a hacksaw so I could get a couple of wires to the Vizio sound bar (which you can't see because it's behind the sound bar). It cuts nicely with a hacksaw, then you can sand it to smooth it out. I did not paint mine. I may do that later. One minor quibble is that if you need more than one of these then there can be a visible "break" or "seam" where the two pieces connect.

Looks like a professional job.
Easy to install. Looks great. I did not have to cut it. After installing the piece with screw holes, I removed the cables off the TV, held them against the installed portion,at TV height, then placed the cover over it, and slid it down. I then reconnected the HDMI and optical cables. The TV plug was at the opposite end of the TV, from my cables. I added a second set. The wall mount prevented me from sliding the cover down, and the floor stopped me from sliding it up. Cutting was an option. Instead, I placed the plug cord in the holder with screw holes, placed the cover over it, and then pressed the cover into the holder until it snapped in. The same way you snap a lid on a refrigerator bowl. Worked fine. Using a second set for just one plug may seem like overkill, but it really balances the setup, and looks great.

Nice kit; but if I had to do it again....
I didn't want to plum wires through an exterior wall packed with insulation; not in a house I'm not going to be living in too much longer. This Wiremold offering accomplished exactly what I needed: Plenty of space for a variety of wires; clean design; paint ready ... (well, more on that later); easy to mark and attache to the wall.If I had to do it again, there is a Monster Cable package that -- while more pieces and of varying lengths -- appears to have wire clips built in. I was on my own, and eventually resorted to small pieces of duct or masking tape to hold my cables in place neatly before snapping on the cover ... I'm not sure if you've tried taping winding cables in place, but it's not easy for them to keep still.Speaking of cover, it goes on with some force, and off with some more force; I would recommend bundling all your cables at once and making sure you're set with what you have as opening and closing this often could possibly be problematic based on the install location. With that in mind, I wish I would have considered using some 3M-type adhesive/Command strips on this. I think they would more than support the weight, and if I don't have a need to remove the cover often, I could have prevented six fairly large holes on my wall. That said, the hardware that comes with the package is solid; the drywall anchors are of the screw-in variety and very substantial. Nice pieces. Now ... painting. You might want to give this a good alcohol rub down first, or maybe some soap and water and let it dry really good before applying the latex color of your choice. The company does recommend two coats in the instructions, but my first coat was so ... ugly ... I was worried I had ruined the product. From the manufacturing process, there may be some oils or remnants or SOMETHING on this piece to where the paint would just not coat well; I'm a fairly experienced painter on all sorts of mediums, and I was not impressed the way paint took to this cord cover. Second coat I made some adjustments, and by third coat I had reached a level where I was comfortable the Wiremold would blend in, no problem. In all, I'd make the purchase again, but I'd do a little more prep work in all areas before the install.Good luck with a great product.
