The bag balm was recommended to me by a doctor for dry skin, to help heal wounds & a few other things. The can does not give much information of when to use it & I haven't found much more detail doing an internet search. It does last a nice long time even with daily use if used correctly. It was on sale when I purchased it. There are more effective products that I prefer but the Bag Balm is ok to keep around.

I've got extremely dry skin and this is the only thing that makes my skin feel better. I've tried many, many kinds of lotions and creams. This is the best I've ever used. It has a light smell that a person might be afraid of, in making their skin have that smell. But the light smell goes away, right away! My mother wore sandles all the time. Her heels would get dry, crack and even bleed. Doctors would give her prescriptions or tell her which product to use. Nothing helped. I finally bought her a can of Bag Balm, of which she was thankful for. It ended up making her heels smooth and healthy.
