Found this part on Amazon after an hour of searching , as opposed to a weeks worth of searching through the manufacturer’s model year , part numbers and series.During installation , I had to drill the mounting bolt holes due to size difference to the original.

Great fit all seams to wrk correctly, however, I wish I would’ve known that. The mounting brace was not threaded so luckily I had nuts and bolts that would be able to go in and clear the belts, but if you buy this, you better be ready to and die the holes or have replacement boats and nuts available.

I replaced the steering system with this part, on my LT 1750 lawn tractor. This fit perfectly and was easy to install. Came fully assembled and ready to drop in. Couldn't be happier.

Have a Craftsman 46" riding lawn mower. The steering was really bad and after I tore it apart this part was completely worn out and the plastic item at the end of the shaft was not tight at all. Replacing the part was a pain because you have to tear apart the part where the steering wheel goes though, but I imagine by doing it myself I saved a ton of money on repair cost. That being said the biggest complaint I have it the 4 mounting holes were not threaded. Had to get a tap an dies set to thread the holes to match up with the current mounting bolts. Thankful there was enough meat to be able to get a good set of thread so I could mount back into the mower. If one does not know how to do that you will have to either get a set of bolts and nuts that fit through the hole or drill it out a little and get nuts that match the bolt. Threading the holes in my opinion is the best choice. Other than that issue it was a direct replacement, the lengths and holes all matched up. As mentioned earlier, not an easy chore to replace.

What did I like about this product was that it came as one unit, but had to take it apart to install it.

THE GOOD:The part fits correctly and at least initially works correctly.It shipped quickly (but was delivered slowly)THE NOT SO GOOD:The item came in a box with no packing. The inside of the box was damaged but the contents survived.Fedex shipping took almost 10 days to arrive.The 4 mounting holes come unthreaded so you will have to thread them (M10 x 1.5 for me) or get a new set of bolts and nuts.THE REST:There was a lot of Craftsman lawn tractor disassembly required in order to get the old part out and the new part in. I had to disconnect the mower deck and the drag link nut removal took a lot of time. I suggest you remove the drag link nut before removing the steering assembly mounting bolts. Time will tell if the part holds up well but at least for now the steering is like new.
