Another quality product from StarTech
This 16 port KVM switch was a life safer to help my team configure servers on a 45U recently. The auto detect gives priority to the host/server that has come online most recently.The only downside may be the fact that it's USB 2.0 + VGA as opposed to USB 3.0/3.1 + DVI, which is irrelevant to my server config needs.

Good basic KVM
Good KVM, came with 6' cables, which is nice.Supports large resolutions, and cascaded configurations.USB support is lacking, I had to downgrade my KB & mouse setup.

Works great…most of the time.
I received this review unit and promptly placed it in a rack to let it handle video from a small handful of brand new servers (three) to a brand new rack mounted display. Installation went perfectly and it comes with everything you need including good cables, etc.After install, we powered everything up using the included cables (one at a time) and the switch properly detected each new server and auto-switched the input. Cool!Things were fine for a few days. Next time we turned everything on to get some work done we noticed that starting the second server wouldn’t switch the input. Hmmmm. Ok, no big deal, we switched it and the screen lit and we went about our business. The next day we had to physically turn the unit off and back on before it would light the screen on any input.Didn’t think anything of it and it worked fine for weeks after that. Since then, I’ve had to restart it twice (over a few months) and I can’t think of any particular reason why. Most of the time it’s rock solid… but every once in a while it needs a power cycle for some reason.Either way, we’re pretty happy with it and would purchase one again if needed. Since original install I’ve added six more sources to it and they have all worked great.

Good high capacity KVM
This model is a good option if you want a high capacity KVM in a single height form factor. It comes with cables so no hassles trying to get the right kind. Installation is simple and so is operation.
