I wish that it had a see inside this book feature before I bought it
I am a big fan of Chinese Calligraphy instruction books. It is a life long hobby. This book looked a good addition to my library. It was not as comprehensive or instructive as I thought it would be. It says it is a beginners guide, but it is more advanced than that. Nice illustration, good instructions, but on a more intermediate level.

A good introduction
A good history of Chinese calligraphy with stroke by stoke directions, but not enough practice exercises. I prefer Rebecca Yue's book on calligraphy.

This is an okay book. Nothing spectacular, but solid enough. I'm still looking for the perfect calligraphy book out there.
