Meridian | Yeast Extract + B12 And Salt | 1 X 340G

I had to go gluten-free about 6 years ago and have really missed marmite. Today I had this spread on toast for breakfast. Absolute heaven.

I like the low salt version and would have given it 5 stars however, there is a fault with the product listing, which shows the picture of the low salt jar, but the listing apparently refers to the salted version, unless it has been corrected by now. This caused a mix-up which led me to receive the salted version. The low salt version of the product is fine and I find it a good alternative to Marmite, but it does not taste the same and it shouldn't be expected to do so.

I am a long time Marmite fan but gave it up due to its incredibly high salt content - 10.8g/100g.Although Meridian No Salt yeast extract is virtually salt free it has loads of taste so that surprisingly I don't notice the absence of salt at all. Take care though to purchase the correct product as Meridian also do a version with salt that contains 12.8g/100g!

Nice product and good for those who need gluten free, the salt version is better flavoured

Perfectly tasty, and a great alternative to the real thing. Even better if it came in a squeezy container though.

I use it in soups, stews etc Also, spread on bread (like Marmite!).
