Love it
Perfect size and shape for what I need. Plenty of internal compartments. This will be used as a medium sized tool bag to sit flat inside of a larger briefcase type satchel. It has a nice retro, feel to it; very basic, but elegant in its own way.

Good for what I need it for.
I originally bought a Rothco map case to carry my work stuff in but the hard backer made the bag a bit annoying to deal with so after looking around a bit I found this Polish bread bag and figured I'd take a shot. Mine came dated 07/1986, if you're a collector of these bags, I hope that gives you some idea. I will say that mine was NOT the version seen in the picture, it doesn't have the metal ends on the straps but angled singed ends instead. I don't see this being a problem for me as it's a work bag. It seems very durable to me however I don't believe these are made of cotton canvas like many other bags are, they appear to be made of a durable synthetic canvas, not that cheap style like in a Harbor Freight "canvas" tarp but an actual milsurp material. Mine DID come with a strap that seems slightly adjustable but at full adjustment it's perfect for me so I haven't changed it. The strap is somewhat skimpy but it's removable so if it becomes an issue I will probably order a cheap SKS sling to use as a replacement. I gave durability and sturdiness five stars because that's what I bought it for; a sturdy, durable bag to transport and keep my work stuff together. Value for the money, I'll be honest, I gave 3 stars. For around the same price or maybe a few dollars less, you can get a two pack of these without the straps elsewhere. I didn't need two and wanted a matching strap so I rolled the dice here.

Decent for the price and product use
Shipped quick. Strong and durable material. Lots of storage for things very small, which I can't imagine for what other then coins. Main pocket is ok, only big enough to fit a medium size tablet, notepads, or half a loaf of bread. The metal clasps are strong and thick unlike others with tiny thin ones that tend to rip off the product. Initially the photo does not show true size, its smaller then I gathered. The big thing is the strap. The photo shows a wide strong looking strap. When really its a thin bikini thong looking strap, does not look like it can hold anything heavy. Plan on replacing the strap. Overall its good for what I boought it for, my lunch, my tablet and other small things I use it for work.

Great product for the price
Well, it's Polish so that's all that need be said. The haversack size if fairly standard. The interior is divided in half There are a few small pockets inside. It's well worth the money since it doesn't cost much.

the bag is robust
The bag itself if actually a quality canvas bag. The strap on the other hand leaves less to be desired, the nylon on the strap would work but doesn't look comfortable. If you were to use this with a full bag or for a long trek you'd be feeling it.

It’s green
What can you say… it’s a milsurp bag and it holds stuff. As described and probably never was issued.

Certainly not US quality surplus.
Purchased this with the intent of using it for a map case this bag is a bit overpriced. Guessing it got confused with something else being considered at the time because this is not suitable for carrying maps. My bad, not the seller. It has a divider right in the middle of the pocket that pretty much prevents quarter fold maps from being placed in here. It's of OD canvas construction: a light weight, thin canvas compared to US military surplus gear. The buckles on the webbing straps are what appears to be a galvanized tin and do not seem like they will hold up well but that is not a definitive statement at this point since I just received it yesterday. There are a couple small internal pockets probably about 2 inches wide by 4 inches deep. They are covered by a flap arrangement which is hard to button but may become easier in time as the button hole in the canvas wears and stretches. It's kinda too big for a magazine pouch as a load of magazines would make it very heavy to carry. It might work well as a lightweight sack to carry essentials on a day hike and probably would work well as a bread sack as the two divided pockets are about the right size for a small loaf of tough bread. I'm not returning the item. I screwed up the order so I will find something it is suitable for.

Just what I was looking for in terms of size and flexibility
I was looking for a very simple, lightweight, small messenger style bag that I could throw a camera in and also a water bottle, sunscreen, snacks, whatever other little things I need with me for a day. This bag was the perfect size and durability for what I needed. The HUGE selling point for me was that the main compartment has a center divider in it - I could put my camera in one side, know that it would stay in place, and then my "other stuff" in the other compartment without needing to worry about everything jumbling around in there and things potentially hitting or marking/damaging the camera. The extra little pouches inside are handy too - I can fit a roll of film, some bandaids, etc.A couple notables: these are surplus, as the ad makes really clear, so some of the metal bits showed a bit of very light patina. I like the look, but you could easily use some steel wool to clean that up. Secondly, I find the strap is just a bit too thin, I may replace it with a slightly wider strap and maybe a shoulder pad on that too.For the price, I'm very happy. I hope this will be a buy it for life bag because it's simple and seemingly very durable and well built.

poor stitching
decent size for what I want, carrying my camera, water, sandwich etc. It is sold as a shoulder bag but it is really a backpack, the loops where the strap is put are in the wrong place for a shoulder bag, they are the top loops for the strap when it is set up as a backpack, not a big problem for me as I can easily move them to the side where they should be. or add more loops, inside there are pockets with flaps, very handy, however one of the flaps has started to come unstitched already on a pocket that I haven't even used, again this isn't a big problem for me as I can repair it. This bag is much too expensive for what it is.
