Best desoldering braid around.
I have used many desoldering braids over the years and hated them. I have always had problems getting them to wick and would sometimes end up ripping pads off of my PCBs by pressing too hard in an attempt make the wick work. This super wick changed my opinion on using braid. I am able to quickly pull solder off of boards with minimal pressure now. I have done some BGA rework with this (in the hundreds of pads) and it works quickly and cleanly with no damage to the board. It even does a great job at pulling out solder from through hole components; I rarely use my solder sucker any more. Super wick is a mainstay of my board repair toolkit now.

Like most MG Chemicals products, the quality and performance are excellent. Wish I had it sooner!
I was on the fence too long about using a larger size braid with flux! This stuff soaks up solder like it's water and just keeps going. My only regret is that I didn't add this product to my electronics repair bench long ago. Very good value and I strongly recommend it.

The best desoldering braid.
This stuff is the real deal. Many less expensive braids are made of contaminated copper that solder does not want to stick to so they load it with rosin, but that runs off in the heat and you’re left with the junk braid. MG braid is made of high purity copper, finely braided. This braid is the perfect size and can be manipulated to be smaller or larger depending on the pad you’re working on. Impregnated rosin is very clean and leaves no residue, but the solder practically jumps onto this stuff. In all seriousness this braid has elevated my desoldering. I used to use a pump first, but now I go for the MG braid almost every time. With the cheaper braids, you often need to work the joint longer, or multiple times, raising the rusk of damage to the board. With the MG braid the solder wicks up quickly and the parts often fall right out on their own. Do yourself a favor, get the good stuff, and get the big roll. Y won’t regret it. The amount of time and stress this product has saved me makes it worth its weight in gold.

First time user of braid, but might be lifetime user of MG Chemicals!
I must preface this with this is my first time buying braid. I have only used braid once before this purchase which was to desolder only 2 components. So with that said lets get to the review!MG Chemical first got my attention from many positive reviews of their products. (Note: I purchased MG Chem 8341 Flux Paste with this order also). The reviews I read on misc. forums helped me decide to at least try this product out, more so try the MG Chem out and see if their stuff lived up to the hype. Needless to say, so far I’m impressed and might be a lifetime customer for braid and flux. From my understanding this is called “Super Wick” due to the fine braid. This was a concern that was brought up in misc. electronics forums but to my experience, I have to said that it helps it that much more heating up. I deal mostly with SMD so the least amount of time needed to desolder, the better. The other concern that I had was the width. With it only being .1” I knew it was going to be on the thinner side, but again, dealing with SMD this works very very well.So now to the “dislike”. I don’t have much against this other than because of the fine braid, you need roughly at least 3” of lead of braid unless you want the braid holder (rubbery/plastic) to melt a little. I do have a few marks from only giving it about 2” lead and it heated up enough over that 2” to melt some of the container. This isn’t really a dislike, just more of a warning to keep the container in best shape. If you are on the fence about this product, I’d highly recommend giving it a shot and see how it performs. Now, with only have next to no experience with braid, I have to give it only 4 stars. As time goes on and I try other braids, the stars will adjust accordingly but I have high hope that I will alter this to a 5 star in the future.

Does what it says - NO CLEAN!
I just used this Braid for the first time removing 14 electrolytic capacitors from my Subwoofer amplifier.Previously I have used other brands and even augmented the process by dipping the braid in Flux to aid the solder flow into the material. That leaves a horrible sticky mess on the board that is hard to clean off.But with THIS product, no added flux and just used the Braid directly onto the PCB pads to clean them out. Not only did it wick the solder up effectively to clear the through-holes, it does exactly what it says on the label, leaving no residue for NO CLEAN.I'm very impressed and a little goes a long way.In fairness, in the image I submitted it does show a little flux on two of the pads - this is due to those particular holes being quite stubborn to clear and I actually flowed more solder (which was a flux core) into those two to get them to clear. So that flux actually came from the solder, not from the braid. I did not have to implement this on the others and you can see the remainder are perfectly clear.

It's a super wick!
Great wick that works exactly as I would expect it to. If you're having trouble, here are are some tips:1. Make sure you are applying the iron to the wick, not the item to be soldered. Use the iron to depress the wick on to the workpiece.2. This wick is pre-treated, but you can apply a light coat of flux to the wick if yours is old or otherwise dried out.3. This is an especially tight braid. I find it helpful to splay the ends of the wick a bit just to loosen it up. This seems to get the capillary action going quicker.4. If the solder isn't coming off as clean as you would like, you can try applying more solder, which will give the solder more momentum and might be the extra push you need.5. You might want to wear an agile glove, like Mechanix, since the wick gets very hot within several inches of the tip. Otherwise you have to hold the wick further from the tip, or else by the spool or with a tool, which might not give you the control you need for delicate work.

This stuff is great. Supplier shipped, delivered as arranged and on time. No problems
This stuff is amazing. Highly recommended. It works better then any of the other brands of solder wick (de-solder wick) I've bought. Worth the extra cost, particularly on the more important / expensive projects.
