Perfect !! Fit !!
We bought the youth mouth gaurd for my 9 yr old, he has a pallet expander and top braces and this mouth gaurd fit amazing. It does not hurt , he can still talk with it , breath well and it doesn't fall out. Very flexible and the best part it you do not have to boil it !

Comfortable for People with Braces!
My daughter has braces and plays field hockey. It really did not occur to me that I needed a special mouth guard for the braces initially so I am glad that I did some research. When I found this, I was very pleased. The first benefit of these is that I did not have to boil them and mold them. That is just a nightmare. I had to do it in the past for my son who did MMA and they never came out right. These were a perfect fit the first time she put them in. I got the youth size and i took a gamble on that because she is 12, nearly 13 but I don't think she has a large mouth. I made the right choice because they fit her perfect. She has worn them twice now and says they are super comfortable. I wash them with warm soapy water after she uses them and let them air dry. So far, so good!!I recommend these for any kids who wear braces and play sports! Pop in and go!

Ortho recommended
My son needed a new ortho friendly mouth guard for karate sparring. This mouth guard was recommended by his orthodontist, it is thick but still comfortable.

Not a custom fit
Bought this for my daughter after she got braces for field hockey. Fits fine but because it isn't moldable, it doesn't stay put inside the mouth so I catch her "playing" with it when she's not on the field.

Too big for 8 yr old
My 8-year-old got braces and plays goalkeeper, but it's WAY too big for her mouth. I figured we could just "make it work", but it's too huge for her upper teeth for her lips to even go around. She isn't small for her age and her mouth isn't small, so maybe it's just for older kids.Since she put it in her mouth, we can't return it, but it will probably keep for a few years until she gets older. In the meantime, I'll look for a smaller one since she got an inside cheek cut taking a ball to the face this week.

Got a kid with braces... this is your mouthguard
Our son had braces put on two days before flag football season started and the free mouthguard from the city/league was the good old fashioned heat in a pot of water and bite down type (ah the memories of burned mouths years back), anyway that kind doesn't work with braces so our Ortho recommended anything by shock Doctor. came quick, and worked well. Knock on wood no loose or broken brackets through the whole football season.

Damaged braces first use
My son wore this once for soccer and it ripped one of his brackets out. Do not recommend. It wasn’t an issue with sizing as he is 8 so clearly he’d be a youth.
