OEM Filter
This is an OEM filter. OEM quality filter at a very good price. Comes with oil drain plug gasket. Filter functions properly with no clogs and sufficient flow. The filter rubber gasket is in good condition and seats properly with no leaks. I am running this filter on my 04 Tundra with 4.7L motor. I used synthetic oil if that matters to anyone. I have ordered a few of these now and have not had any problems with any of them.

Great filter.
This is a great filter and you know its Toyota quality. I have never had an issue with bad seals using these Toyota filters unlike the cheap store brands that are of questionable quality that have leaked on me. Remember that your car only has one oil filter to keep your engine internals clean, don't settle for a low quality filter! I also love that it comes with a new drain plug gasket/washer, it saves me from having to run to the store in the middle of an oil change once I realize I didn't buy one haha.

Genuine Toyota Filter and Drain Plug Gasket for One Price! Why buy Aftermarket?
Please note that this kit included the oil filter as well as a drain plug gasket, one of each, but Amazon also sells the filter alone or in a case of 5 or 10 and also a case of 5 or 10 with the oil drain plug gasket. Links included below for your convenience! Please see my photos as it shows in detail the filter as well as a comparison to the equivalent K&N (PS-1002) and how they differ in size. The oil filter looks great and why buy an aftermarket if you can get the real thing for about the same price or even cheaper? In my younger days, I would say all filters are the same and if you change the filter (and oil) on a regular basis, then you are ahead of the game. Why try to save a dollar or two when you can get the Toyota filter?! Having said that, I don't think filters make too much of a difference as long as you don't try to stretch the use of them for too long and since the Toyota is taller (in height) I would have to guess it has more filter media? Yes there's other things such as the drain back gasket and bypass valve and while I looked at the reviews, each had it's strength's and weaknesses, so no overall winner, but the conclusion was that if you can get the Toyota OEM for a good price, then that is the way to go.Next purchase, I will buy a box of 5 or 10 as I already have a good number of gaskets, which seems to be either the part # given in the title or 90430-12031. The look identical and not black in color, but a dark blue (navy?)Hope this helps? Here's the links to the other 90915-YZZD3 products sold by Amazon:Filter Only: Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD3 Oil FilterFilter Only Box of 5: Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter 1/2 Case (QTY 5)Filter only Box of 10: Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)Filter with Drain Plug Box of 5: Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter and 90430-12028 Oil Drain Plug Gasket Oil Change Kit 1/2 Case (QTY 5)Filter with Drain Plug Box of 10: Toyota Genuine Parts 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter and 90430-12028 Oil Drain Plug Gasket Oil Change Kit 1 Case (QTY 10)

The added drain plug gasket is a nice bonus.
I like to use the OEM Toyota oil filters on my Tacoma V-6 The upside down filter location on the top of the engine makes me wonder if the OEM version has a special feature that keeps it from draining each time the engine stops. The after market filters are multi-purpose and are not made specifically for this engine.Plus, ordering them through Amazon is much more convenient than making a special trip to the dealership. This supplier charged a tad more than some others, but it was still cheaper than the dealer and also included the oil drain plug gasket, which is a major bonus, because you should be changing that gasket with each oil change anyway. I keep a supply of different size gaskets in the garage, but often cant seem to find the right one when I need it, so I really like having the gasket delivered along with the filter.

Toyota OEM
Why buy aftermarket filters when you can buy a Toyota OEM filter and crush ring for the same price or less? If the filters are good enough for Toyota to put on new (under warranty) cars, they are good enough for my Toyota’s as well.

2004 3.4lt Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Trd
fit my truck perfectly used just under 6qts of oil. Says it doesnt fit my truck, but it most definitely does. This is what you want on all first gen Tacoma's even the 4cyl models. It's a slightly bigger filter and fits with no issues! don't buy the D1 or D2 for first gen Tacoma's!
