Bought these for my lab to prevent our centrifuge bottles from tipping
The 1L centrifuge bottles I work with are very tip prone so I was looking for a holder that could keep them upright.The bottles do indeed fit in this holder, albeit without space to spare (the holder is 3.75 in. dia. and the bottles are spec'd at 3.74!). There is concern that the plastic bottle could swell in a solvent and become stuck.I chose to use my own hardware to affix two holders back-to-back which felt very stable ( one holder alone felt like it would easily tip backward if unsecured). I was able to easily enlarge the pre drilled holes to accommodate slightly larger screws. The holder did come with ~1.5 in. Phillips head screws and drywall anchors for wall mounting.I haven't had this holder long enough to know how durable it is. The rim surrounding the hole feels a little flimsy, like it might snap if a bottle were set down into it too roughly. I'll update the review if this turns out to be an issue.Last point is the textured surface on the top of the holder. This will be difficult to clean spills and stains from. I would've prefered a smooth surface.Overall four stars because it seems like it will handle the task of holding the bottles.
