They are FLAT, it took a while for them to arrive but they are very nice. I have Very thick hair and they hold it quite well.

I love these and don't know why I can't find them in stores anymore. I bought some at a store quite a while ago and thought the flat design was fantastic--they hold your hair much better as they don't roll around like round ones. But for some reason, I can't ever find them at stores anymore. This may seem a little pricey for hair ties but if you're someone who likes to put your hair up and have it STAY in place (like when you're exercising!), these are totally worth it.

I don't understand the bad reviews. I have used these for a very long time and for me, they are what works best. I agree, that they do break somewhat easily, but Its not enough to bother me.

Very tight when you first get them. But hold up well. Tangle free because they are made out of flat instead of round elastic cording. Refuse to buy anything else for hair! Wish they came in several colors.

I typically really like these hair ties. These flat ones have been recommended to me by my hairstylist because they stay in my somewhat fine and straight hair without slipping out, but unlike the ones I used to use with some rubber/grip texture on the cloth elastic, these do not damage my hair. I have purchased previous packs of these, and they have been great, but this package has been a disappointment as they seem to snap at the seam super quickly, in some cases after only one or two uses. Hopefully this pack was simply a dud. Will purchase again in the hopes that future orders are back to their old standards.

I have long, thick, heavy hair so its hard to find the perfect scrunchee. This one is my favorite because it has extra layer of rubber on the inside so it keeps my pony tail up and the scrunchee does not slip down. Its high quality and can hold heavy hair up for long time.

The seam breaks easily, which exposes the rubber. Rubber will damage hair.
