ABSOLUTE CLASSIC !!!
I only knew about this case cuz o my short-scale semi-hollow arch-top BASS - the manufacturer said this is the ONLY case that'll fit it properly. Wow ... one option !!! So, I hadta pop for it. As soon as I open it, it began to exceed my expectations. I wanted tweed - the pics don't do it justice - it's gorgeous !!! It's a kinda oatmeal color, paired w/dark-chocolate-brown leather trim & patinaed brass hardware - it screams vintage !!! So I opened it - lush royal blue velvet - beautimous !!! Now, will the bass fit ??? Like a glove. Top quality foams, thick cushioning & a support for the angled headstock. The wood frame & panels are stout & it closes up & latches shut like a bank vault. The 'bubble' on the top-side accommodates the arched tops of the '335' body styles & adds a bitto 'Cool' factor. My '335' also fits nicely, so this BAD BOY will be seeing double-duty. It has exceeded my expectations !!!

Quality Case
Nice wood cases are what’s expected in high end guitars. In today’s rising manufactures costs coupled with shipping Gator has filled an excellent niche with a case that rivals the best USA or Canada case manufactures. Then add free shipping and it’s a complete WIN at these prices with boutique quality.

Good style for the price
Overall satisfied for the money.Fits my LTD (ESP) 6 string Bass with only a tiny bit of wiggle room. I was more concerned it would be too small for this bass so just a little bit of room is a relief. I might add a bit of extra padding but for taking it back and forth to church it isn’t going to be an issue. The style is exactly what I wanted. I didn’t find anything even close in this price range. The other tweed-type option was a vinyl and not even real fabric material.Hardware looks sturdy enough for its purpose but I wouldn’t expect it to handle any abuse. I have a suspicion that the metal will become weaker with age. Feels like what my grandpa called “pot metal”.The only defect I found was that some of the glue on the trim didn’t adhere and lifts up. (See pictures) I’m going to run a bead of hot glue under there and stick it back down and I think it should hold just fine. For storage and transport that is prettier than a plain black box this feels like a good case.

Beautiful case that arrived a day early
I was worried the "dreadnought" size would be too big for my grand auditorium D'Angelico guitar, but it fits perfectly.

Attractive Light Duty Case
This is a very attractive, but light duty case. Here are my observations:Cons: Padding is on the light side. The perimeter of the case (sides) that holds the body of the guitar has about 1/2 inch of padding. There is a rectangular piece of padding in the bottom and a diamond shaped piece of padding in the top of the case to secure the body of the guitar. The neck is secured by a thin wooden block at the 11th fret (of my Gibson LP) and there is a small piece of padding on the top of the case located just above the neck block. The neck block itself seems to have about 1/16th of an inch of padding on it to protect the neck. My guitar neck free floats in the case above the 11th fret. It doesn't touch any of the case even when closed. Also the padding in the neck area of the case is very thin. Nothing like what was used in the body portion of the case. Not sure why they skimped on padding in this end of the case. The case itself is thin and you can push it in with your fingers. I wouldn't recommend laying anything on top of it.Pros: It is a nice looking case that is different from all of the other cases out there. The finish is nice and all of the hardware is secure and functions as expected. There is plenty of length at the head stock to hold an Epiphone version of the LP style guitar. The body of the guitar seems to be pretty well protected. For the money there are better options out there that are cheaper and offer more protection. This case will be used around the house and for short trips to friends homes to jam. I would never consider letting anyone else handle my guitar while it is in this case. I have other suitable hard cases for travel so this isn't a deal breaker for me. I will probably add some egg crate foam to the neck area and spray the exterior with some Scotch Guard.

Excellent Case, Great Vintage Look.
This case looks AMAZING in person, and I'll admit that I purchased primarily for it's unique vintage good looks to protect my DEAN COLT Semi-Hollowbody Hybrid Guitar, and it absolutely fits like it was made specifically for that guitar. I've owned several Gator cases over the years, and their quality has always been top notch. I like the shallow design; no need for towels or small pillows underneath, unless you've got a Tele or Strat style guitar, and the truth is, this case isn't designed for those types. It's sturdy without being too heavy, and the padding is more than adequate for my needs, since I don't have any Roadies throwing around my gear, plus I really like the Wow Factor of the royal blue color. My experience has been that a properly fitting case, is one that insures that the headstock doesn't ever come close to touching the bottom of the case, ever. Many necks are broken this way, and this case has headstock room to spare. The bronze colored hardware even has a vintage patina look to it, is sturdy and the case locks up tight. I highly recommend this case if you have a GIBSON 335 STYLE GUITAR. Best of all, it just looks so very cool......
