This frame was good to frame a large charcoal drawing I was gifted. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the small black pieces that hold the picture in were super fragile and a couple broke off.

This frame isn’t your typical poster frame sold at Walmart.The thick frame is *WOOD*, not plastic, and it’s sturdy. It is plastic at the front instead of glass, but I prefer that because it won’t be as fragile during shipping.I thought it was glass until I took it apart to get all the protective plastic off and it bent lol.It comes with easy to follow directions, which you need because you have to screw in the hardware at the back.That was a bit time consuming and I would have preferred if it was ready to hang (you need to make sure you place the screws evenly) but that would be my only complaint.Overall, I’m glad I chose this frame out of all the options Amazon has and my poster looks great!

I bought two of these to assemble with mats and art prints as a Christmas gift, and since I was short on time I was a little apprehensive in case they weren't nice once they got here. They turned out to be nicer than anticipated, they gave an upgraded finished look to the project. Look at the fifth photo of the frame corners and you can see that the front surface is the littlest bit "puffed" or convex, just enough to elevate the look over a completely flat frame; it makes them a bit more special but doesn't distract from your art. Will absolutely repurchase for my next framing.

The frame is put together very well and very sturdy with a nice plexiglass front Very nice hanging material also.

I buy quite a few readymade frames at this price point, but I have NEVER received one that used cheap thin cardboard for the backing board and those bendable staples that you have to bend out and then bend back in order to put the picture in the frame and are completely unforgiving and do not allow you to ever remove and replace any picture because the staples -- or whatever you call them -- break off. I even looked carefully at the Amazon ad to check to see how the backing of the fame was made. I am extremely disappointed. The seller has an obligation to reveal that these are cardboard backed rather than stiff fiberboard and do not use the sliding fasteners that allow you to easily remove the picture, clean the inside of the "glass" or replace the picture. If you think you will never ever have to remove the backing, then you might be OK with this type of frame. What I'd recommend, however, is go get a piece of foam core to use in place of this flimsy piece of cardboard. I started by giving this one star, but I decided that was probably unfair. The front frame itself and plastic "glass" are fine for this price point.

Frame is sturdy yet lightweight. For a very reasonable price you get a good solid frame with acrylic instead of heavy glass, solid corners, hanging wire , hanger & a nail!It also was so expertly packed, it arrived in perfect condition unlike other frames I’ve ordered from AmazonAbsolutely will order from this company again
