Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts PS4 - PlayStation 4

Great experience. Five very diverse sandbox levels with multiple targets, and multiple ways to approach each target. Each Level has challenges that unlock money and Intel Tokens. Tokens are use to buy new weapons. Tight gunplay, capable stealth and gruesome visuals. Challenges bring a lot of fun variety and replayablity to the each mission. Overall id say its a Platinum Trophy worthy game.

This new entry of the Sniper Ghost Warrior series is superb overall. The game emphasizes planning and patience, and provides you with all the tools you need to complete the objectives. You can upgrade your capabilities and do some limited, basic customization of weapons. The focus here is to simulate how a sniper would tackle a group of enemies within a confined space.After playing a number of "run and gun" looter games such as Borderlands and Destiny, this game offers a great change of pace. Bottom line: if you like a more methodical shooter that requires thinking, you should definitely pick this up!

The original Sniper: Ghost Warrior was the first video game I played. This one is the best in the line up so far and was also developed on the CryEngine platform which seems to lend itself well to shooters and snipers - the gameplay is good, the shooting is getting to be realistic and can be challenging. If you usually look for a scoped weapon in your first person shooter play and are fond of taking down enemies at a distance before you move in this is a great game for you.

I have been a fan of the Sniper Elite game series for some time and thought I'd try this rival effort.I'm glad I did -- I'm having a lot of fun with it.At first, though, I had MAJOR problems completing the sniping training round. I could hit the closer targets but not the farther ones. Finally, I noticed the tiny red bullet path lines, which gave me feedback on how I needed to adjust my aim.Once I got past that annoying training round, I have had much more fun playing the regular missions, and the sniping seems easier as well.And this game is much more than just sniping. You also have an automatic rifle, grenades, and a silenced pistol to take down the enemy, and you will need all these, especially once your cover has been blown.The graphics and enormous environments are wonderful.Like Sniper Elite, this game also includes a slow-motion effect when you fire a perfect sniper shot, showing your bullet's path and the bloody effect when it strikes the enemy. The squeamish will be glad to hear that these slow-mo sequences aren't quite as bloody and gross as the ones in the SE games, although sadists will be disappointed!One gimmick that differentiates this game from SE is the tactical mask you wear when you're on assignment. It gives you useful visual feedback about your environment and allows you to communicate with your mission leader.Aside from the difficulty of the initial training session, I have just two gripes with this game. One, as other reviewers have mentioned, concerns the LONG non-defeatable mission recaps when you load the game.Every time you re-load the game, you must sit through at least a minute of this, which I assume is intended to provide some distraction while the game loads. Unfortunately, it gets pretty tiresome after the first load.Two, I wish the game allowed manual saves. There are automatic saves, but some of the checkpoints come at protracted intervals. So if you get killed, you may have to replay a good half hour of a mission until you finally reach the next save point.Fortunately, I have been finding the game sufficiently engrossing that I haven't minded these setbacks as much as I normally would.So I think fans of the Sniper Elite series will enjoy this game as well. Rifle tips up!

Maps kinda suck but, overall great game.....Nice visuals and can be very challenging.....great for staying in and staying out of the Corona!! I got the game on sale for $29 which was a good buy for me.

This game is sick. It's like a mix between ghost recon future solider /COD/ and splinter cell... Methodical, Tactical and a Stealthy Masterpiece _ definitely don't believe the Nay Sayers... This game is off the hook, especially if u like the sneak stealth approach!!

This is my favorite sniper game by far. I've always got bored with games or beat them so quickly. This one is challenging and I love it. And it's never ending

Just full of things you would expect a game developer to be better at. Every time you go to the main menu and then go back to continue the mission, you have to listen to about the entire intro before you can start...and its close to a minute...every time. Earned enough money to upgrade weapon...but then upgrades aren't on weapon, even though it says equipped (and going back to the main menu to double-check that it was equipped forced me to listen to the mission intro all over again). How about this for stupidity from the developers...for targeting when throwing a rock, grenade, etc. they use the color WHITE as the target radius and aim point...and the first mission is IN THE SNOW...so you can't see where you're throwing it...lol. How stupid...why not make it a bright yellow or orange? I guess this will finally teach me a lesson about pre-ordering a game. Need to let it be out for several weeks and read the reviews. Maybe that's why many game makers are now not letting reviews get published until the release date...it's not due to spoilers as they claim...it's probably because the game has lots of issues and they know it'll get bad reviews.UPDATE: Struggled thru most of the game with it's glitches, bugs, and not very well thought out game play (like allowing the player to SAVE when he wants to) by the developers...but the somewhat frequent crashes of the game finally made me decide it has to be one of the worst games I've played. Cannot even complete a contract in the last mission because the game will crash at random...and since you can't save, and the game doesn't save...you have to start the contract ALL OVER AGAIN. Not too fun when you're probably 90% thru it. Stay away from this game. I won't buy any more from this game developer.
