Great jack at a great price. Two thumbs up!
I have a very old and extremely well built homemade trailer that I use to haul cars and trucks. It is made from I-beams, weighs over 3K empty and is a real beast. Finding something to lift it with a vehicle on it and take the abuse of my sons has been no easy task. Big box store and retail trailer shop jacks have not been up to the task. They last a season, if that, but ultimately fail. During my rehab of the trailer this spring, I went looking for a heavy duty jack that I could weld onto the frame and would meet my needs once and for all. After looking at jacks in the $100+ range, I ran across a review of this particular jack and was impressed with its many 5 star ratings. Now that I have had the jack a while and put some miles on it, I can add my 5 star recommendation to the others. This is a strong, simple and well made jack! Nothing fancy about it, but it gets the job done and lifts my trailer easily. I really like the drop foot that allows me to take up a lot of the space before having to crank it. The adjustment points are a little far apart and I may drill one or two more to make it better for me, but that's a personal preference. I also like that it has a grease nipple in the head to lube up the gear mechanism (also replaceable). I will say that some of the photos in their ad are incorrect and don't do the actual jack justice. Some photos show the jack with a chrome-like foot, when in reality, it comes with a large, heavy metal foot painted black to match the jack. This is a much better and bigger foot than is pictured in some photos and it work extremely well.In operation, the jack works great. It is smooth cranking and lifts my heavy trailer easily. We welded it directly onto the tongue and added gussets on both the top and bottom to help with any side deflection. This is not needed in most applications, but my welder is a bit OCD and is overly cautious. This thing is now rock solid and is not going anywhere in my lifetime or the next. LOLBottom line: This is a great, well-made item that will get the job done and at a decent price point. Quit wasting money on light weight, big box trailer jacks and step up to this jack, install it correctly and you will literally be a "Happy Camper"

Great HD weld on jack
My trailer jack was failing due to operating at its service limit so I purchased this beast to replace the 2500 lb. jack that was on the tongue. It is an aluminum trailer and the previous jack was bolted to the side of the tongue through a welded on bracket. I simply cut the old jack off the bracket and re-welded the new jack on to the same bracket and bolted it back on. Much heavier duty than the old one and I think it will serve me well for years to come, or until I replace it with an electric one! Great product at a great price! Highly recommend if it fits your application.

Strong, Easy to Use, looks good!
Bought the jack for my 16ft Utility Trailer, easily welded on and it works perfectly. The drop bottom is very nice and easy to use. Raises and lowers very easily, would recommend to anyone and I am going to be buying this jack for every trailer I buy from now on.The worst part is I feel bad for making the UPS man carry it!

Nice strong square tube weld on jack
I like everything about this jack . Square tube material is strong, the jack is geared to give you a good mechanical advantage. The finish on mine was in perfect condition. Having a drop leg makes the lift/drop height very adaptable to different trailers. The foot is very large and as mentioned by other reviewers, it is black not chrome. I tow my equipment trailer with a pickup truck. One of my reasons for buying this jack was to remove the round Aframe jack because you can not let the tailgate down with the trailer connected without hitting the Aframe jack . Had to weld an attachment point for the Reese square tube jack and move it further back from the coupler to give me the clearance I needed in order to lower the tailgate. Works great, allowed plenty of room for handle clearance, no issues.

8,000# & cranks up easy enough.
I built a 1/4" plate C-shaped Clamp that fit the square outside housing of this jack, for a very tight non-slipping mount on the front of a very heavy 26' boat. It worked out absolutely perfect!IF 'REESE' would make the same kind of mounting CLAMP as I made, ( to fit 4" & 6" frames) to BOLT ON,,, instead of having to weld this jack onto a frame, they would sell many more jacks! ;>)

perfect solution
I really wanted an electric jack for my car hauler but try as I might I just could not justify spending all the money that an over 5000 pound electrical jack would cost for my trailer to then only have to worry about someone trying to steal it. so I bought this one instead. A very easy to use high capacity jack that does the job quite well. it's more of a Landing gear type jack that the 5th wheel trailers come with. It stands good and sturdy even on wet grass but kind of sinks a bit in mud so a good matt or block of wood in the muddy areas will save you a lot of headache still
