This has got to be the best urinal made
This has got to be the best urinal made! I am a woman so I have not used this, but I purchased it for my husband and he likes it very much. It has a wider opening than most urinals, which makes it easy to use. It is sturdily constructed, not thin and flimsy, and it is well balanced. We keep upright it on the back of the toilet when it is not being used, and it always stays put. No falling or tipping. It rinses out nicely and has a thick plastic lining that keeps it fresh. We rinse it after every use and bacteria does not grow in it like it has done in other urinals. It may cost a little more, but it lasts a lot longer. This vendor sent the item promptly.

When you gotta go you gotta go !
I had ordered a urinal before and when I found it on amazon at a lower price especially for 3 of them ! I ordered it right away ! They are very sturdy and not the cheap thin type ! That is why I will probably order 3 more later this year of 2019 ! Because when you gotta go you go ! Even if I am on the road ! I will open my door and get out and since I wear suspenders I don't worry about my pants falling down so I just unbutton unzip and put it in the container and once done zip up and button up then I pour the liquid under the car ! And close it up and then get in my car and on my way again ! So thank you to the company that makes these urinals they are great !

Comfortable and easy to use, but be careful when it's full
Overall, I am happy with this product. I use it every day and would recommend it.A few critical remarks:The lids are thin (much thinner than the body of the bottle), and flimsy. They offer some light protection against splashing, but you would have a real mess if you dropped the bottle. Also, this is the part I expect to fail first. The bottom is of the bottle is somewhat rounded, which makes it a little unstable when you set it down. This is not a good combination with a flimsy lid. There are markings on the body for keeping track of urine volume, but they aren't exactly straight, so there is some limit on how precisely you could track volume if that's important to you.A few positive comments:The plastic is thick and feels solid. The main body of the urinal feels sturdy. (The handle feels a bit wobbly.)The design is reasonably ergonomic. Some good thought must have gone into the design. An average man standing on his feet and holding the urinal by the handle in a natural position would find the angles and positions work well. It's easy to use without splashing. (I think it might be harder to use sitting or lying down but I haven't tried.)

Lid is now extremely challenging to snap closed!
the problem with these newer carex urinals is that the lids are suddenly an abomination of design and downright menace to usefulness. I never expected that urinals of all things would have gotten a redesign 'in a manner undetectable from a photo. BEWARE: even if you have used this brand of urinal before, if you are unaccustomed to having to use two hands to close the lids (which is not very practical!) you are in for an unpleasant surprise. these lids are fiddly to close even using both hands and even if they are empty! it's pretty important that urinal lids close easily and securely for preventing spills and containing odor, although we also counter odor with the smallest bit of blue pine sol in the bottom of each freshly washed and rinsed container.I sought this brand urinal out for my dad after his original ones had primarily become discolored, more from urine than pine sol. he's had mobility challenges for several years and had accumulated a small urinal collection from having been hospitalized or in skilled nursing. there were a few different brands and styles and he developed a preference of one brand over another for various locations/situations. the carex style was his favorite for in the house. these were/are still better for sitting flat in dad's urinal caddy (a shower caddy screwed onto the side of a dresser next to his power lift chair) or on a shelf. there is also a cheaper, lighter weight hospital style that we carry as an emergency precaution in the van because those more easily hang from the seat back pocket.the only thing that would have been more disappointing would be if they changed the size of the base; then the urinals wouldn't fit into dad's caddy and we'd have to make more adjustments to our routine. I'm sure it sounds like a minor thing, but getting older and losing mobility and the other conveniences younger bodies enjoy is no fun. all of your planning changes and you need different ways to prepare and still be as independent as possible in activities of day living: dressing, bathing, toileting, eating, etc. redesigning a well fitting lid into one too shallow to really close properly is just another nasty trick from a big business trying to save a few bucks - as if the cost of continuing to make the old design wasn't going to be passed on to the consumer anyway!

The one I purchased time and time again
When dad moved in with us 7 years ago finding urinals that were easy for him to use and that lasted a moderate amount of time were an issue. I originally ordered these because they seemed like a good bet, sturdy enough to last. After he used the first order I knew I had found a winner. The only issues I ever had were the handles bending towards the urinals after some time of use but not every one did that. Price was good enough to keep some in closet as backup. If you are looking for a sturdy urinal (male) I would recommend these.

The best male urinals
My disabled husband has tried many brands of urinals, and, as his caregiver, I've had experience with them, too. The Carex urinal is absolutely the best. The angle is perfect and the plastic is thicker than others. The opening is wide enough to enable him to use it without problems, and the lid closes securely. I'm able to easily rinse it out with soap and hot water (or periodically with white vinegar) and end up switching it out for a new one after a few months simply because it feels like it's time to do that, not because it's broken down in any way. We've been given others to take home after hospital visits, but I always go back to ordering the Carex brand. I recommend it 100%!
