Good value, powerful and easy to use
Bought it to replace my old vacuum, a Pond Xpert model, this is very similar and I think is an upgraded version. The old tools and suction tubes are transferable so I have spares. I particularly like the adjustable cleaning nozzle that can lift mud without picking up pebbles.Very pleased with this new model, as stated it is loud but no more noisy than my old vac. It is more powerful than the old version and the tools are better. I have quite a large pond so cleaning it in sections over a few days. I used it to clean the stream, the rocks in the stream were covered in weed that is very difficult to remove but the vac lifted most of it easily.Only one complaint at the moment, there is a leaf collection bag that attaches to the inlet inside the drum, when the bag fills it blocks the outlet so the drum cannot drain. I have attached the smaller bag from my old vac and this is working. Also the outlet discharge dirt collector bag that attaches to the end of the discharge hose has too fine a mesh and does not permit water to pass through the material, it fills like a balloon and I had to take it from the hose to empty it, so I’ve stopped using it.So far I’m very impressed, it's good value and hopefully will be as reliable as my old one.

Works well
This performs well, has good suction and easy to follow instructions. It really clears all the muck on the bottom and will pick up small stones. Only thing I didn't like was the joined together suction pipes which were a little too flexible when using. Also the pick up head could have been larger. Make sure you have the unit higher than the pond. I ran the outlet pipe into a fine mesh fish net and let the water return to the pond rather than discarding, which suited my pond setup and location. The included filter net soon filled up so that is why I used a larger fish net which was easier to empty.

Clean the pound like a dream
This is a fantastic bit of kit . I have four pound that have not been deep cleaned in 15 years. After cleaning one of the ponds by hand I was on the hunt for an easier and quicker way to remove the water and the sludge. And I found this on the web and yes I watched the videos and read the comments about the 30 second on off cycle, but it’s better than paying £200 plus for a dual chamber unit. And so as a domestic user this product is ideal in my view. Yes you still have to remove a lot of the larger debris and vegetation by hand but that no difference to the professional units. The only point that I would add, and this is not a negative just learning to work with product and life. I added a wire cage over the outlet to prevent the vegetation bag from fouling the exit for the water when it got really full. nothing technical just the old wire crows nest you used to have for guttering down pipes back in the day. Final words for approximately £90 this was a game changer for me and cleaning the ponds. Plus I can use it as a dry vac for the cars and garage. Simple but really effective, love it.

Great pond buddy
Brought this for my Mediem pond , at the bottom there was a lot of sludge and water had a tinge of brown to it.I never used a pond vac before so was abit worried if I would do it right or would hurt my fish.It so easy to use , quickly cleans pond , it does switch off every 30 secs to remove the dirty water from the machine .This also can be used indoors also , u get a free dusk bag included. The only thing is that it does empty your pond quite quickly so u have to keep an eye on it.I filled my pond back up with fresh water afterwards . Easy to store away. Great product!

Stops functioning after 18 months
When it worked, it worked great. Plenty of suction power which would clear out the water in no time at all. My only complaint is it ceased working and the seller just advises it is out of warranty. My guess is it did about 6 hours of use. Quite expensive when you calculate the cost per hour. I have an old Vax which still works after 25 years and many hours use. I don’t find the quality of the product or the after sales service acceptable.

Good in parts
It sucks leaves and sludge from the pond, but, as others have mentioned, the supplied bags fill up with debris and block the pipes. The trick with using the tights works a bit better. We pumped the water into a large bucket then filtered that water a couple of times.Hint; avoid the stress and put a cover over the pond in autumn to catch the leaves before they become pond sludge

Very Loud and Very Powerful
I purchased this system in order to clear a large amount of blanket weed algae from my pond but it is now being used as an excellent replacement for my in-door vacuum. The main two reasons are as follows:1) The vacuum motor is incredibly loud and powerful; way too loud for the UK neighbourhood in which I live. This system will easily pull stones from the bottom of a pond and will frequently clog the pipe as a result. In fact I spent just as much time unclogging the pipe as I did turning blanketweed into a slush puppy for a swamp creature.*Fish owners will hopefully remove their fish before using this system, otherwise you're most likely to see a bag of knackered fish on the other end.*2) Switching the motor unit to 'indoor' (whilst using the unit indoors of course) transforms this system into an industrial strength vacuum cleaner for the house. I'm very impressed with the results; so much that I will not be using my old vacuum cleaner again. The only use I can see the 'pond' setting having is to clear up any large non-chemical liquid spills, for which the '30 second on/thirty second off' interval would be ideal to drain said spills to another locations. If you want to clear algae from your pond then use as much aeration, shade and pond plants that you can possibly find or afford. If you want an excellent house vacuum that can also handle spills then this system won't disappoint.
