You can replace it!
Don't be afraid to replace it yourself. 10 minutes to fix the endless water drip out of the detergent/softner holder on our top load LG washer.Flat screwdriver to release the three tabs of the cover. Phillips screwdriver to remove the cover and valve screws. Plyers to squeeze and hold open the 2 hose clips. No special skills needed. My new part looked different than the old part but all the hose and screw locations lined up and it worked perfectly. Very happy how well it went.

Working like a charm
My LG washer's hot water valve got stuck in the open position a few times leading to a small flood of water on the floor. With two YouTube videos in hand I replaced the valve assembly with this new one. One video explained how to replace the valve assembly while the other explained how to remove the control panel assembly so I could get in to do the valve assembly replacement. The swap took about an hour in all because I went slowly, taking pictures along the way so I knew what things should look like as I put it all back together. It was pretty easy. I needed a cross-tip screwdriver, a flat-tip screwdriver, slip-joint pliers, and a few hand towels. And a touch of soap to make it easy to push the tubes onto the nozzles.

Fixed our no hot water issue
Simple install, about 15 minutes, less if you don't have to move the washer. Our washer would not get hot water and we figured out it had to be the valve. Once replaced, we have hot water in the washer again!

Happy customer!
First of all, I'd like to applaud the seller, Appliance Parts Exclusive, for such a quick delivery for my washer part! Living in rural Montana, it was such a nice surprise to have received it so soon. As for the part, it was packaged well & I have not installed it yet to see if it works or not. Lol (Waiting to do that on my days off from work) The problem with my washer: the tub keeps filling with water even when turned off & unplugged. I'm greatful I caught it doing this before my home got flooded. I cut the water supply off before anything drastic happened. I did a search on my problem, and this seemed the rout to go with to fix my machine. After watching videos on how to install it, I decided to go for it & install it myself instead of hiring a technician and paying tons of extra cost. Fingers crossed that this part does the trick. I will post an update in the near future to say if it worked for me to anyone out there that might be having the same problem.UPDATE:Thanks to researching and watching videos on how to install this part... my DIY washer repair is fixed! It took me a total of about 25 min. from pulling out the washer, installing the part & moving it back. Couldn't be more happier! Everything is working as it should be.

Easy Install
I really thought I would have to buy a new washer, so I had nothing to lose. This has a straightforward installation and works perfectly, just follow the instructions. I wasn't disappointed! WOW, so far it's been about 9 months with no problems. By the way, I'm not a handyman or a mister fix it. I think It's definitely worth the MONEY!

BETTER TO BUY THE GOOD STUFF
I was hesitant "NOT" to buy the cheaper ones available. After reading some reviews about having to unhook the bleach solenoid on cheaper models I bought this one. Easy to install, like 8 screws and 3 clamps "BAM"!!!I have washed about a dozen loads that don't take an hour to run anymore due to slow solenoids and my detergent and bleach containers are dry at end of wash. Thanks guys for the quality product, I enjoy doing wash again..........

EXCELLENT, exact replacement for my Washing machine.
EXCELLENT, exact replacement for my washing machine, SUPER EASY to install, less then 30 minutes.I am NOT a mechanic, and even I was able to install this part on my washing machine in under 30 minutes with just a Philips head screwdriver and a pair of plyers. It actually took me longer to pull the machine away from the wall and disconnect the water and electricity then it took me to replace the valve! My machine was leaking water into the tub, even when it was off. Replaced this valve assemply and it's as good as new again. Been a couple of weeks and used the machine many times since replacing the valve and NO LEAKS!!!
