My husband installed a 36 and a 24 inch bar in our shower in preparation for my hip replacement surgery. I really like the textured finish. They were easy to install. They look nice. They’re sturdy. And they work well.

The product contains a different fastening system then what I saw in the video. You do not need a hole saw and there is nothing to insert into the wall. What you get instead are six wood screws that you would fasten the grab bar to the wall. So be aware of that. I do think that this is a great grab bar. I was able to install it easily and it is very solid.

If you use the proper mounting hardware which you have to buy separately it works great and has a nice non slip texture

This is a good quality safety handrail. Easy to install and sturdy. Would definitely recommend.

Safety bar is very nice...however, video for installation is the wrong one for this safety bar.

I ordered this to make sure my kids and guests would be safe when using the shower. Someone took a fall and luckily it was not serious. I didn't want another incident. At first I purchased a 16 inch bar locally but quickly found out it was too short to be effective. I ordered this one in preen which is just textured stainless steel. I thought I wanted chrome to match the rest of my fixtures but this is fine. The install was fairly simple, just had to find the studs behind the tiles. I could only find one so the other end is held with hallow wall anchors. I went with toggle bolts (3/16 @ 3 inches) which were strong enough. Drilling into the tile required a electric drill and some large bits. Overall, happy with this grab bar. I would get another if I needed it.
