Great battery life
This battery has twice the life the original had. Old battery swelled up and broke back glass and just purchased this battery and new back glass and everything went together with ease. Kit that came with and the only thing that didn't come with kit was heat gun. With a lil heat and time spent making sure to get all old glue off everything fit perfectly. Better than new to me the battery hold up alot better.

Battery life is great after a few days!
I had to replace my Samsung S8 battery and chose this one. The tools that came with it weren't really used as I got an IFixIt tool set too. After installing, I fully charged my phone before turning it back on. At first the battery life sucked, it was dropping 10% in a few minutes with the screen on. I waited until it was down to about 8% and I calibrated it, turned off the phone, and fully charged it. After a few days of complete charges and discharges, it's stabilized and great! Yesterday my phone was on for 7.5 hours and I was at 43% battery life. If I leave my phone overnight without charging it, I only drop 2%...maybe 3% at most. Definitely recommend this battery! A side note, my phone says it's only a 3000mah battery but it definitely is way better than the stock one.

Charged
I managed to change out the battery, but I can't say that I'd do it again.

No Instructions, YouTube Reference Incomplete, Wrong Adhesive
Okay, three stars. The battery works and holds a charge. However, there were issues.First, there are no instructions, and instead external links were supplied to a YouTube video, which was incomplete. It showed the dismantling process, but not installation of the new battery and application of the adhesive.I searched around and found a more complete video, but it's obvious the adhesive supplied is not for any type of phone I could conceive of, and certainly not the Samsung Galaxy S8. If you check the photos in the product description, you'll see what I mean. Their shape is all wrong. I ended up having to cut the adhesive into skinny strips, and this was sticky, gooey and difficult, as well as incomplete in sealing.

Good Battery Life
The battery holds it charge for over a day now. I've had it for over a month and followed the directions to allow it to completely discharge before recharging for about 5 charging cycles. I was initially disappointed in that it would only hold its charge for about 12-13 hours. But it has improved over time to about a day and a half. So much better than my original battery that was nearing the end of its life (about 4 hours).Changing it takes patience with heating and breaking the phone apart. I ended up cracking my back glass during the replacement process and had to order a replacement back glass. I would suggest going ahead and ordering a replacement back glass as they can be had for not that much more money.

Battery Defective
The battery they sent is defective. It will charge, but does not hold charge. Typical duration after 100% charge is about 5 hours.

Good life, reasonable install if you are careful and comfortable with tech work
Battery has exceeded expectations - did a few full charge/discharge cycles (till phone turns itself off) and last significantly longer than oem battery at 3.5 year mark.Note that there is a lot more sealant at the top right of the glass back than elsewhere. I was very smug about not having broken the glass when i had it 75% off, then got careless and didn't use the playing card to seperate the back from the top right- and broke it. $5 on ebay so not the worst mistake but learn from my mistake.

Here's My Advice
Here's my advice if you're dealing with a Samsung S8: Before opting for this DIY solution, find out what your local shop will charge to do it. Even professionals hate having to try to open these Samsung cases since it is so time consuming and sometimes just impossible to do without destroying the back (which is glass.) Also, the rest of the procedure is on the complicated and tricky end of the spectrum and not for the faint of heart. The potential for damaging your phone is great if you aren't fairly familiar with doing this kind of thing. After finding out what a shop will charge, then decide whether doing it yourself is worth it to you. If you go the DIY route, study up thoroughly first by watching videos and reading repair guides online so you know exactly what to expect and then, be prepared to have to order a replacement back if it doesn't survive the operation. Factor the cost of a new back into your decision. PS: the adhesive strips included are really designed for Apple batteries and are not necessary for the S8. Note that this kit does not include new adhesive for reattaching the back; you just use what's left of the old. That usually works OK but you may not retain the phone's original water resistance. However, you can also order a new adhesive panel, remove the old adhesive, and then replace with the new or, probably better, just order a replacement back that includes the new adhesive already in place.
