The media could not be loaded. My daughter made her own costume with a vision in mind. She wanted to be a white bat. She throws me curve balls for Halloween, but between Google DIY, and Amazon, and our creativity, we did it!Telescoping arms were great, just the quality of the holes to go through was not great. We had to reinforce. It would also be easy to add Velcro for the wings to easily be attached to the arms, so the person does not have to hold the wands the whole time. We straight stitched to her white bat base costume.It was a Halloween HIT!Cute. Larger than expected for a 12 year old. Beautiful color and lights. Great value for money, but a sacrifice on quality. So be gentle and ready to edit. Not meant for durability, so be gentle. Fairly easy to assemble- have needle and tread to reinforce though.

I got the kid one, 40 inches. I’m about 5’4” and it fits perfectly. I think the adult one might’ve been too big and unwieldy for me. It comes with telescoping sticks that you put into the edges of the cape and you can hang onto those to manipulate it and move it around. To keep the sticks in, I put them in grip first which is a tight fit but they don’t fall out. The battery pack makes you look like a humpback. Long hair would cover that. I’m thinking about snipping the zip ties that hold the battery pack up by the collar. It might be less noticeable if it dangles further down the Cape. The neck piece fit fine, more than enough room but the weight of the cape pulls it against your throat and it’s uncomfortable. I don’t use it I hold onto the edges of the cape and it’s big enough that it drapes over my shoulders and doesn’t fall off.

Visually this thing is perfect. Comfort wise not so much. I wore a long sleeve bodysuit with this to make it more comfortable but the lights are attached with scratchy zip ties and the Velcro neck attachment is somewhat tight and heavy. If you have a thicker neck you will probably hate this. I made the metal handles as short as I could so they were less cumbersome. Comfort aside this was perfect for the event I went to which called for “rave elements”. I brought it out after the party got started and people loved it!

Never lose your kid again at a concert ;-) this is bright and fun. We have taken it out for 3 one-hour shows so far and it’s still bright and beautiful. A star was taken off because the sleeve/pocket thing where the telescoping pole goes down was quickly torn by the pole and it sticks out of the bottom. It’s nothing a stitch won’t fix but this happened the first time it was used and is a bummer. It might help to know too that my child is 42 inches tall and this was about 4 inches too long for her so I just used a hair tie to bunch a little up on the bottom so she didn’t keep walking on the middle of the back. So this is likely better for a 10-12 year old than a 6 year old.

The cape looked beautiful all lit up, for the whole 5 minutes that it worked! After that it died and would not turn back on. I noticed it was a little glitchy looking with the lights flickering at first, but thought nothing of it. But once it died it was over, I tried three different sets of batteries and it would not work.This was super disappointing as I had an event that night I was supposed to wear it too. It was a pretty big piece of my costume, so definitely don't rely on products from the seller if you have an event coming up soon.

This was a gorgeous, alluring item I wanted to use for a costume. I received lots of compliments on it because of its uniqueness and beautiful lights. Even unlit, it was pretty.Very uncomfortable…I would expect for the price it not to be so rigid and almost choking. The neck piece that holds it on is VERY SCRATCHY and it’s heavy so it pulls backwards and is uncomfortable on the throat area.The length was perfect (I’m 5’8”)Not as good of a value as I has expected for the priceIt was NOT easy to use. I cannot imagine someone dancing with this as the control box is cumbersome and the cords are extremely long and bulky and in the way.Trying to figure out the wand use was a nightmare and the instructions were very poorly written.I use the wands to give instruction in my courses when addressing the white board so they were not fully lost.It seems durable but one would have to wear it a long time.Heavy. Bulky. Uncomfortable.I wore it for pictures and then would take it off immediately because it was so uncomfortable.It was
