These capsules arrived in a fairly big box approx 19cm x 12cm x 2.5cm, which first seemed excessive but then I realised that it easily fits through most letterboxes. The box is cardboard (great) but it arrived covered in plastic film, and contains plastic two large blister-sheets of 30 capsules each. The capsules themselves are medium-large (average sized for a fish-oil etc supplement), and are a "super strength" 1200mg krill oil each, and you can take 1 or 2 each day, either alone or together. They contain a mix of krill oil and other phospholipids to help support brain, eye, heart and liver health. The krill are also MSC certified. They are convenient to take and tasted and smelt faintly of vanilla (which was strong enough to take away any fishy-ness but not so strong as to be overpowering or too sickly in it's own right).

thought I'd give these a try, having been taking Omega 3 pills before... And I'm so pleasantly surprised! Not only it has sustainable credentials as it comes from krill rather than cod liver or elsewhere, but the capsules are vanilla scented which makes them so pleasant to have and easy to swallow! Love the taste and the super strength, a new staple of mine and certainly will replace my previous supplement :)

These are okay. There is a slight vanilla tinge to them but otherwise they don't really smell or taste of anything. They are easy to swallow. The claimed content seems to be good. The current cost is far too high.

I have tested a wide range of the Healthspan brand in recent months.So I can say that I know the brand.I admit that I'm a little sad, because there is a fundamentally good product, but I can't give it a maximum rating.Unfortunately, as I have already described before, I am very deceived by the packaging of the product.I'll explain what it's about..If 3-4-5 Healthspan products are placed side by side and not unfolded the boxes, they can be confused.They are almost the same.At the top is usually a code that says nothing to a customer.This can be especially bad for an older person.Many times I don’t even open the box, I just unpack it at the bottom usually.Even now, I found out by accident what was inside the box.That the real design of the brand and the full description is in the box.What’s inside is really nice and informative. It's like what you see in the ad.However, it would be much more useful if it all went outside.About the product:They provide the body with important omega-containing minerals, which we need to replace. Especially after a certain age.The vanilla aroma, in this case, does not match the product.I feel like it's a bit excessive. Maybe a different taste or smell would be better.The product is fundamentally useful and pays off in the long run, even if it may seem a little expensive at first.Considering the above, I recommend it!Thanks for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.XO Sue

Lovely packaging and eco friendly too. The capsules are easy to swallow and don't have any strong flavours. I definitely felt I benefitted from taking them.

I first tried Krill Oil supplements as an alternative to fish oil supplements a few years ago and although I really preferred them the price difference isn't always easy to justify so I only take them intermittently. These Healthspan Super Strength Krill Oil capsules are pricey but at least have the Healthspan reputation for quality behind them and you're getting 60 (potentially) one-per-day capsules so there's as much as two months supply here. They come in the standard letterbox-friendly Healthspan box with the capsules sealed in blister sheets inside and I really wish they'd find a way to package their products with less single-use plastic.The capsules are large-ish and have been fragranced and flavoured with Vanilla, which is the one thing about them I really don't like. It's a very synthetic flavour and scent and frankly I'd prefer they did without it, but it's bearable. I don't get any negative reaction at all to these, not even fishy burps, and they've been fine. I'm not sure I can tell the difference between the benefits of taking Krill compared to more typical fish oils but maybe with time the benefits will become clear. Either way it's a supplement I appreciate - when I can afford it.

Each capsule contains 1,200mg of krill oil, costing 60p/capsule and with a 1-2 capsule per day recommended dosage.These are presented in a blister pack which is quite wasteful compared to standard plastic tubs - it's wrapped in plastic and the blister pack is plastic with foil which is difficult to recycle.The capsules are quite large and hard, with a vanilla scent which I'm not too keen on.Clinical trials on krill oil are generally in the range of 1-3g, so this supplement provides enough in one capsule to meet clinically relevant dosages.This seems like a very high quality supplement but the price is a little too high for me.While krill oil has a higher bioavailability than fish oil, the omega-3 content in this is very small, and it would require a high dosage to meet the same omega-3 content.There are trials on krill oil showing improvements in cholesterol, triglycerides, arthritis and more from a dosage that you can get with this supplement, so it's something that I will definitely look into for long term supplementation.

I have seen these cheaper, but I like the slimline packaging these come in which makes for easy storage. This pack contains 60 capsules of high strength 1200 mg so you can get away with only taking one per day. I did notice the slightest hint of an aftertaste, but due to the vanilla flavouring of these, it is not too bad and I would imagine some people will not even detect it. The Krill is gathered from sustainable sources and the gels are easy to swallow.
