Perhaps I should have paid more heed to the negative reviews. They don't dissolve in water well. Rather than a nice movable pigment puddle, these pencils end up more like a sad ghost of color around the original line if you apply on dry paper and use a wet brush. Somehow, the lift is just as bad if you apply on wet paper.I gave it one additional pity star because the pigment does go far if applied directly to a wet brush (NOTE: two different brushes pictured). But that's a very tedious method for an entire picture, and at that point you might as well be using cakes instead of pencils at all (or ideally, a better pencil).

For watercolor pencils these are excellent. Some dimwit was comparing them to Luminence and Polychromos. Hey dimwit, these are watercolor pencils - DUH.Their dry laydown is far superior to the Polychromos which are one star worse than Dollar Store pencils. If you need to compare watercolor pencils and regular colored pencils. If not, they are the best WATERCOLOR pencils on the market - bar none.

I purchased these because I needed to review  Magic Garden  and  Exquisite Flowers  adult coloring books.The 72-color variety are exquisite and the pencils are of medium softness. I also like how there are two levels of pencils in the tin box. The top level can easily be lifted out by the cardboard handles and placed in the top part of the tin (as you can see in the attached picture). The only issue I had was trying to sharpen the pencils once I wore the point down. They were a hairline too fat for my electric sharpener so I had to use one of my makeup pencil sharpeners. Other than this they work perfectly.

I really love the color range but the pencils are annoying. They crumble under any but the lightest pressure. The cores also have a distressing tendency to jam in my helical sharpener and break while being sharpened. I will use these up but will not be purchasing again.

Does not spread well with water. Does not compare to my Hero pencils, let alone my Albrecht Durer Faber Castells! Would not recommend. They are barely ok.

I got these colored pencils after seeing a friend use them at a coloring book meet up. I was very happy with what I received upon opening the box. There were 72 beautiful pre-sharpened pencils in a great tin case that had two nice little trays on the inside.The colors are very vibrant and there is a good variation in shades. Great quality and perfect for adult coloring books or any other kind of art !

These pencils are beautiful! I love collecting colored pencils and trying new ones! These work with water or without. Thicker lead so more pressure is needed. Pretty vibrant coloring, harder to layer but works well with prismacolor pencils and polychromos.

Product is on the expensive end. The color does apply to the paper with no problems.

Found these pencils easy to use and blend. Would recommend.

Estos lápices acuarelables de Lyra son de su serie REMBRANDT, es decir su buque insignia.Tienen una mina de 4 mm. Son de madera natural con la numeración y texto impreso del color correspondiente, y lacados en su extremo con una vitola de ese mismo color. La selección de 36 colores de esta lata es fantástica (al menos muy de mi agrado), y la manufactura de cada uno de los lápices de nota diez.La prueba realizada en papel de acuarela ha sido muy satisfactoria. Pigmentos que se disuelven cómo lo haría la mejor acuarela.La mina se desliza suave sin desprender casi polvillo de materia en su recorrido, lo que indica la idónea compactación del núcleo de los lápices, por cierto lápices robustos, equilibrados y generosos de tamaño.Tendré para rato con ellos.Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra y la recomiendo absolutamente a acuarelistas, ilustradores y amantes del diseño y el artisteo en general.Amazon, como es habitual, riguroso en su puntualidad y muy eficaz en el servicio de entrega.Por poner una queja, aunque en este caso sin consecuencias, me da rabia que Amazon no proteja este tipo de materiales con plástico de burbujas anti-impacto. Estas latas de lápices se abren con facilidad , y en ocasiones se deforman y abollan, dejando al descubierto su contenido.... No es la primera vez que recibo algún lápiz con la mina rota o fuera de su envase original.Por lo demás, todo perfecto.

Un producto de calidad indiscutible, hace un par de años compre el set de 12 y me sigue fascinado a la fecha.Buena construcción, madera de alta calidad y lo más importante pigmentos brillantes, intensos y mezclables.Algo que se agradece a la larga es que la mayor parte de los colores son lightfaster, es decir resisten la degradación del color por efecto de luz.

Increíble pigmentación. Madera muy buena para afilar. Trazos muy finos sin que la mina se rompa.
