Powerful for small size
Used Scott's tiller for the first time today and I'm impressed with the power that this lightweight tiller has. I tried it first on untilled area but there were large rocks. It tilled the small area well and deeply, but Ididn't want to take a chance on breaking something due to the rocks . I then used it in my garden .The area had been previously tilled with a larger tiller so that made it easier to till, but it tills deep and the weeds and small rocks were not a problem. I was able to till forward and backward . I had not used an electric tiller before so I had to be careful of the cord. but overall this is a great little tiller. I would recommend. The tiller seems well made and was easy to assemble , all the parts were there, packaging was good.

works great
This addition to our garden tools has saved many back breaking work. Works great for smaller areas like our raised garden beds.

Pleasantly surprised!!
I chose this one because the width will be narrow enough to go between rows if I remove the outer times. I was skeptical of the less powerful motor, but knew I could return it if it was too feeble ...When I was assembling it I was concerned that the tines might not be strong enough for the rocks and roots in our yard ...... and then I plugged it in and began tilling with all the tines in place..I started on strips of established lawn where I planned to plant rows of Thuja trees, knowing this was the toughest job it would face, and WOW WOW WOW!The power and speed surprised me! It immediately began ripping up the sod and pulverizing it. First I just did the sod layer to give me access to the dirt beneath it. It accomplished this so quickly that this 79 year old man was able to two 60 foot strips through established sod before getting even slightly tired. Then I turned around and began to let it dig down to full depth--I'd guess 8 to 9 inches. When I hit a root, the tiller chipped and mulched it. With past tillers I would have stopped and dug the root out, chopped it out, then continued. It quickly became obvious that the tiller would take care of it, as root chips came flying out of the trench. It did do some 'hopping" as it did the root, but because it is so lightweight it was easy to direct back into the trench. Then in another area it encountered some rock and broken concrete that had been used as fill. There were some pieces up to 10 inches. The tiller jumped up into the air, grabbed the pieces when it returned to the ground and tossed them out of the trench. Again, with previous tillers I would have gone for my shovel to take them out, but the tiller did it so quickly I didn't have a chance to think about it.Now, understand that it gets a little rough to handle while it is doing these amazing feats, so keep a firm grip on it and be ready for surprises. For me, if it can handle jobs like that and survive with no apparent damage to the machine, I am more than willing to hang on and brace myself while it does its work.As I mentioned, I am 79 years old. This was the first physical work I had done after a year of vegetating in the house waiting for COVID19 to go away, and I was able to prepare the strips for planting 21 trees in less than a day ......DEFINITELY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!Oh--it tills through our established garden areas so quickly and easily I almost forgot to mention it, even though we did not plant last year, and they were all overgrown with weeds. After what it had done with the sod, roots and rocks, this wasn't a surprise--but it certainly is pleasant.

excellent tool for what it is designed for.
Used for lawn work. easy to use easy to control, does not drag you after it like some large tillers do.This is a big thing if our are a little older and not as strong as you were at one time.

Very Surprised!
I'll start by saying that I was highly skeptical of an electric tiller. I was going to rent a typical gas one from Home Depot and the cost was essentially the same as buying this one. I decided to take a chance and go with this one. It has far exceeded any expectations I had on its capability and performance. Now, I would not use this to till up the back 40, but I have used it to till roughly 10,000 sqft of ground, and not once has it given me any trouble. If you have ever used or rented a gas tiller, you know how heavy they can be. This tiller is much lighter and easier to move and use. As for the cord, It is what you would expect. You do have to be mindful of it when you are tilling. I used a 100ft 18gauge extension cord and I didn't feel like I had any loss of power. The more I used it, I could tell that having the torque of an electric motor actually makes it easier. It offers consistently strong power, which is ideal when you are trying to till up hard compacted ground.I've used it to till up very hard ground for seeding a new lawn and I have used it to make flower beds under some old and large oak trees. No problem with either one. It managed to handle the roots much better than I would have expected. As for assembly, it comes roughly 75% put together already. All you have to do is attach the handlebar, and place the tines and wheels on. It's not difficult.I definitely did not get paid to write this, but I did read the reviews and many people had the same skepticism as I did. Everyone's property is different but at this price point, I thought it was worth taking a chance and I'm glad I did.

Perfect for a single family/city home - great little tiller...
So, I was skeptical at first, since it is electric and I've only ever seen/used gas powered tillers. However, I will say, this thing ACTUALLY DOES WORK. I have been needing to till up a side yard, that has very dense, almost concrete-like top soil and clay under (in Dallas) and this thing did an amazing job. First pass was perfect to aerate the soil, the second pass finished the job. Got hung up one, when I ran over a huge concrete/rock chunk hidden under ground; unplugged it, and worked the chunk out and it started back up with no issues. I would absolutely buy this again... Perfect for a small home, city lot, and general landscaping projects. Not sure I'd try a huge garden or some mega project, but it certainly did what I needed it to do. It also is pretty lightweight and easy to store, and if you unscrew the top handle, it easily fits in the trunk of a car.
