Best car seat. I have a 13 pound Shih Tzu and she always used to throw up in the car before this car seat. I have gone on several road trips with her and she loves it! She has plenty of space to move around look out the window. It is durable easy to clean and so easy to take in and out of the car. Worth every penny, the straps that go around the seat are only for a single side

Very sturdy car seat and easy to install. I love that it is can be raised so that my dog can look out the window. My Maltipoo is 6.50 lbs. and this is perfect for her. Box says can hold up to 30 lbs, but NO WAY. The seat is just big enough for a small dog to fit comfortably. Maybe 10 lbs. or so in my opinion.

Our pup seems to enjoy riding in her new car seat. It keeps her calm and safe while we are driving. I am giving four stars because the car seat is a bit smaller than it looks in the picture. Our dog is a 15-pound schnoodle and it fits her perfectly (but with no room to spare). Also, it fits awkwardly if you have sporty "bucket" seats as the sides of the seat jut out making the car seat not lay flush. Overall, we are pleased because it keeps her safely (and happily) in place.

This is the third car seat I’ve purchased and I wish I chose this one first - honestly I was put off by the cost and thought there couldn’t be much difference between seats. I was wrong :)I knew I wanted an over-the-seat booster for my 13 lb rescue who needs to be able to see out the window to minimize her car sickness.This seat is small — it couldn’t likely hold a slightly heavier dog but not much taller/longer (my dog’s a chiweenie and is dachshund length with chi-height legs) — but very sturdy. The bottom is reinforced and frame is strong with durable fabric inside and out.My previous booster seat was deeper - with mesh sides - but I could never get it to not slant. It felt flimsy and my pup never fully relaxed. This seat is fairly shallow, but my dog can rest her head on the rim if she wants to sit down (rare for her). The booster is lined in cozy fleece, which is a definite benefit - and removable for cleaning!If you need a booster for a smaller dog, particularly one who’s a bit picky, this is my recommendation.

This is the second Kurgo seat I've bought. It's the booster that seems to work best for our chihuahua mixes, who are about 10 and 11 pounds. They seem to feel safer and happier in it than other dog seats and carriers I have tried. I really like how this newer one has pockets for leashes or other supplies. I also like the removable and washable pad and liner. The dogs seem to appreciate being able to look out the window, and I appreciate having my dogs safely contained while I drive.

I purchased the seat in 2018. My dog and I liked the view out of the window from this sturdy box seat. The car seat is highly recommended for non chewers and people and dogs will be very happy with it.However, my dog is a chewer and doesn’t like riding in the car that much. The lining was chewed up in a very short time. I cut plastic tubing lengthwise and put it on the rim when he cracked a tooth on the steel frame.Update: wow, there are not sufficient stars! The Kurgo customer service is fantastic: fast, friendly, and the company actually lives up to it’s “life time warranty”. After submitting information and pictures of the damage my pup managed to make, within days I received communication that a courtesy replacement was on its way! I had not expected that, since the seat itself is great, it is my pup that chewed and caused the damage.I very highly recommended the seat, it keeps your dog safe, is easy to use. But remember to cover the frame if you have a chewer like my pup!Kurgo Rated six stars!

Update:It’s been a year and a half since purchasing this dog seat. I had it reinforced last year because a couple of the straps we’re detaching. At this point the entire back bottom is ripped open from the pressure of dog in it. I figured the product would last much longer being that my dog is below the weight limit and just chills like a lazy loaf when he’s in it. If I didn’t need something to give him a view out of an suv window I would definitely go with a diff option I found on here.I would like to make a suggestion to the company to reinforce the base of this and the straps so it can be suitable for every day use.Original review:Really great dog booster seat for my miniature dachshund. I like that there is a way to secure it to the seatbeat, is adjustable in height, and that it folds up to be the size of a reusable shopping bag.

My dog loves this seat and I appreciate that it’s easy to be sure she’s safe and comfortable when we’re on the road. I especially like how easy it is to put in and take out, and the side pockets for treats and snacks. So glad I got it for her!
