The Muslim Marriage Guide (Censored Edition)

This book seems to consist almost entirely of criticism against Muslim men and husbands. And the criticisms are legitimate and valid, it's not that they are incorrect; but it's interesting that the criticisms of men are written in elaborate detail, and yet very little advice/criticism/admonishment is offered towards the women, other than vague phrases like "be respectful". It's as if the author believes that all problems in marriage come from men and women are flawless and above being admonished or corrected in any way.If you are a Muslim reading this book for marital advice, I would advise supplementing this book with The Ideal Muslim and The Ideal Muslimah, to get a more balanced and broad perspective.

The book is written in general terms, how one should behave each other in Marriage with very minimal quotations from Islamic sources. Although Islam is very modern and respectfulness and equality among parters is built into religion and to read same things as what we read in any other modern relationship books did not suprized me. What I was expecting from the title of the book was to base these claims with sources and give samples of them.But still this book is very helpfull for it is concise and for those who does not have patient and time to read the original books and other books in this field can benefit from it and see what Islam says about marriage.

Imagine if your mom tried to give you bitter medicine, without your awareness, and she covered it with sugar candy. This book has bad information hidden in a lot of good information. Lots of hidden Feminist agenda. I regret buying.

After researching a while for a book to gift couple preparing for their marriage. I settled for this. And my clients love the book. I'm going to order more soon. Giving it four star because I haven't actually read it. I hope to read a copy soon.
