Worked exactly as it should. Helped us to confirm there was no leak inside the pool and that it was in one of our intake pipes. If it was inside the pool, we could have repaired ourselves with pool putty instead of hiring a pro leak detection/repair company for $350+. In this case, even though it didn’t save us money because we needed a major repair, it would definitely have been useful when we had a leak in our main drain a few years ago. And it will come in handy if we ever suspect a leak again. I did purchase the extra bottle of dye as others suggested. The tube goes very quickly.

Worked great. It has a long extension tube that was very helpful and worth not fumbling with the sort of stubby syringe I would have ended up with from a drug store. ALSO buy a bottle of dye to go with it. If you aren't pretty sure you know where the leak is, you're going to need more.You can really see this stuff move when you find your leak.I bought one of these:ANDERSON REFILL FLORESCENT DYE FOR POOL LEAKThe blue in the tube was quite visible against my light blue pool paint. The yellow in the refill above was truly fluorescent against the blue. You can't really go wrong with any color.I found my leak in just a few minutes of snorkeling. One of the light fixture bolt holes was leaking faster than you'd think something with a bolt in it would or should.

Works well in chlorine pool water. Good flow and stayed together for long enough to track water flow. Then dissipated well. A little expensive for a plastic syringe of blue dye, but works.

Very good product. I think the negative reviews are from people misunderstanding the use of this product. It’s a simple tracer you inject RIGHT NEXT TO a suspected leak to see if there’s any inward flow. Not much can go wrong there once you understand how it works. If you dump it all in the pool of course it won’t be helpful. If you don’t know where the leak is, I would say dive down to see if there’s any crack in the plaster, you should check around lights, any jets or water intakes (don’t know the correct term). If you’re still not sure, watch a YouTube video on this.

Simple. Easy. Look for you tube videos of how to use it. Have an idea of where the leak is, use this to put the dye next to the leak. Same idea as food coloring. The dye included keeps together better than food coloring and the dispensing syringe is helpful. Good for a one time purchase, I'll use food coloring inside of it.

I uses food coloring at first to try to find leak. So I decided to buy this product.Basically, worked as well as the food coloring. It was a waste of my money.

looks good at first ,small in size not enough , this is good if you know where the leak is , but if you don't know its not enough need more dye just as easy to buy food dye in store wife is right again

Helped find a leak so did what it’s supposed to. Push the plunger very slowly.
