Wonderful Product...
This is a wonderful product and I have no problem with it matching my skin tone...I have yellow undertones and my complexion is sort of mahogany...I love this and I'm so glad I stepped out on faith and decided to try it...I also got the Buttercup Sacha Setting Powder...I wanted to see the difference in the two...I will carry the compact in my purse to blot my oily areas while I'm on the go and I'll use the setting powder to bake my face after applying my foundation and concealer...I watch a lot of YouTube to give me proper instructions on how to use these products...I feel really good about these purchase and thank you.........

This stuff is an oily black chicks magic dust
Wow.LOVES.I was sceptical.I bought, I tried and at the end of a 94 degree day prancing around New Orleans, my face not only did NOT melt off in the drippings of my sweat...I remained intact and reasonably matte. It's almost unreal.I've tried it between layers, as well as used it to set my primer and as a simple 'degreaser' should I not have used initially.Something this good makes me scared they are going to jack the price up, stop selling it or I'll find out that it causes extra limbs to grow out of my face.So far so good....I'll be in touch in the event any of my above-mentioned concerns should occur.😉

Excellent Powder....Compact Not So Much
The Butter cup Face powder Compact, in reference to the powder itself, is excellent. It is smooth and finely milled. It goes on seamlessly and the yellow colored powder blends in nicely providing a smooth finish. I am tan and/or olive complected and have a very yellow undertone so that's probably why I don't have a problem with the yellow colored powder blending in. It is an excellent setting powder...though I do use it to blot my oily T- zone during the day. It blots effectively and doesn't look cakey. I am 55 years old, so I don't know why my t-zone is still oily...go figure. Being 55, I am dryer in my cheeks and as such, don't find this powder to settle into the few fine lines I have and fills pores nicely. Now the caveat...the case needs some working on. When I received Mr compact, the powder pan was not glued in properly and came loose. The powder in the pan was beginning to crack along the pan edge. I remedied the situation by gluing the pan back on with gorilla glue. Doesn't move now...needless to say. Also, the plastic sheet provided to cover the powder pan to keep the powder from dislodging everywhere is difficult to keep in place. It doesn't remain stationary. As such, powder still gets dislodged. I don't know...they need to rethink that. Also, the flat, thin shape of the compact makes it awkward to open and hold in your hand while applying it to your face. By and large, however, I'm still satisfied with the powder itself. The only issue is the compact design and integrity. It is not user friendly. I just try not to jar the compact too much. If not for the compact integrity issue, I would've given it 5 stars. Hope this helps.

Great For Outside Events
Full disclosure: This was a "YoutTube made me buy moment". A particular vlogger raves about this company all the time and since I had a special event coming up, I figured I'd try this out and see if what she was saying was worth the hype....and she was right! I was at an outside event recently and knew that the vlogger mentioned how the company is based in the Caribbean and creates cosmetics that perform well in the climate. And it did! After doing the initial setting, I only powdered once over the span of the 6 hour event and all the pictures I took came out beautifully! NO FLASHBACK AT ALL! I plan to venture into other cosmetics from this company in the future.

Complete waste of money
The powder was severely damaged. Broken into tiny pieces. While opening the package I realized there was dust all over the box, after opening the box I realized what was supposed to be a compact powder was in tiny pieces like the loose powder. Already have the loose powder and bought this for my purse, complete waste of money

as a pretty dark-skinned woman
I watched a few too many videos about "baking" concealer under the eyes. This made me look very ashy and as someone else already stated, as a pretty dark-skinned woman, I looked casket ready by the time I put on the matte loose powder to correct this. To be fair, I hear that this product, which is the compact, pressed version of Buttercup, is a bit lighter than the loose version of Buttercup. It you don't wear foundation often and want a powder for baking, I found that the actual matte powders in my shade (perfect copper) worked better than trying to use this version of Buttercup. That said, I really like Sacha Cosmetics. So I need to give the loose version of Buttercup a try since I have read it is different than the compact version.

Too Soft and Fragile
The buttercup powder has tiny cracks causing a mess. My last purchase of this product was a firmer formula. Seems to be more yellow also.

No Cake Face
I had been looking for a product that sets my makeup, gives me a flawless and shine-free finish, and something I could use throughout the day that wouldn't leave me looking cakey. I love this product! I live in Southern California near the coast so on top of having oily skin I also have to fight the humidity. I apply this with a fluffy powder brush over BB cream or Revlon Color Stay and my makeup doesn't move. I didn't have to reapply until 6 hours into wearing this. I have also used the Ben Nye banana powder (which I also love), but I needed something comparable to throw in my purse.
