We have actually played for one year using this kit and broke one paddle so decided to just order an entire new kit so we'd have extra paddles. Great value for folks like us who don't need anything fancy!

And let’s be real, this set really makes you feel like you’re in the midst of a high-stakes tournament. No one tells you that pickleball is the perfect blend of ping-pong and tennis, with a dash of “I’m too competitive for my own good.”Setting up was a breeze—just throw down some tape, and you're ready to start a game or accidentally throw your paddle because you tried a trick shot and missed. Trust me, your friends will love it. Update: I originally gave this only 3 stars because one handle broke after only a month of use. I'm upgrading it to 4 stars because I contacted Franklin (the manufacturer) and told them my problem. They immediately shipped me a replacement handle at no charge! So amazing customer service warrants an extra star in my book. Also - I really liked the feel of the handle - it was non-slip despite my sweaty hand holding it, and it just felt very comfortable in my hand. My original review follows below if you want to read it too.I bought this in July, used for the first time on August 4th. As you can see, the handle is just too weak and this broke on me only four weeks after first using it. Big negative.Here's the positives: this very affordable set sold my husband and me on playing pickleball. It's a fun game and we want to continue playing. The grip on the handles is very comfortable and non-slip, even during all the very hot weather we had here for the month of August. So if you want to try out pickleball very cheaply, this set could work for you - just be prepared that if you like the game, you will need to replace the paddles shortly after you start using them regularly.So if you don't know if you'll like the game, and don't want to spend a lot of money on another set of sports equipment that you may never use, these might be perfect for you to give this fun game a try.

The product is perfect for a beginner. However, the material used for this paddle appears very inexpensive thus the price. Playing with more experienced players with more expensive paddles, the sound of the ball coming off this particular paddles sound hollow and weak. Everyone noticed the sound on this paddle. I still used it to learn but have now bought one for more money. Good starter paddle but get ready to be made fun of!

Bought this set as a first time player, it has been perfect as it comes with the ball and a raquet for a friend. Another users have mentioned that it breaks immediately, I have played 5 or 6 times (~90min each time) and it has not broken yet *fingers crossed*.

Paddle broke into halves in the mid of the air! This happened at only the 4th time it get used, by my wife, a light weight beginner hitting a slow ball. Just as in other reviewer's picture. Don't waste your money.

Perfect set and price for beginners. Highly recommended until advancement into the game for more advanced play. However, this set is good for advanced level players as well as beginners.
