I’m a regular gamer, and found over the last few years every time my friend brings out this game, everyone really likes it! Finally bought a copy and introduced it to another game group and they enjoyed playing as well. Believe this will be part of the regular rotation. There is strategy, a relatively tight resource balance, and once you get through explaining it plays in under an hour.Quality of components is great. When unpacking for the first time it was easy to punch out all the pieces, and repacks into the box well. Was really impressed at the multiple slots allotted for all the cards to separate the different epochs. That helped keep the game moving quickly. Plenty of extra bags included for the game pieces as well.The organization and layout was quite thoughtful. It uses titles, colors, and symbols throughout to visually identify the different gaming components. It also includes a reference card for each player, which we used regularly throughout the game.For non-gamers, this may seem complicated at first. For regular gamers, it’s not terribly complicated. For hard-core gamers it may not be complicated enough to become a regular game. As a regular gamer who enjoys medium to high levels of complication (depending on the group) what I valued most was the appeal to different types of gamers and that it plays in under an hour.Oh, and remember to feed your people. They’re building your empire, after all!

This is a great multiplayer game that I play constantly on Board Game Arena. I bought the physical game primarily for the excellent solo mode (I hope my wife will try it too), with its 12 levels of increasing complexity.The central game board isn’t used for the solo game but two player boards are; instead in each epoch you begin by drawing two cards of each color, placing them above the player boards, and then picking one to buy or sell, with the other going to the AI. The second round of each epoch is the same draw but the drawn cards are the. all shuffled, and then you can pick two cards at a time (of likely different colors) to decide from. The AI doesn’t use coins.It was quite fun to play (less than an hour), and will become more challenging as I up the levels. And I think my wife may like this game too, so I can get to use the strikingly designed and colorful central board.

I watched a video outlining the game play before our gaming group started. It took a little bit of rule reading to have the rest of the game figured out.We are very much fans of 7 Wonders and Catan. It is fair to say if you like those styles of games you will very much enjoy this game as well! It is a lot less confusing to get people started with than with 7 wonders.When you 1st play you will be tempted to buy every card you can, the strategy is being a little selective so you always have the money to buy the cards you most need to get going. There are several routes to victory and we are looking forward to playing with the expansions for the game. To be clear, the expansions are sold separately!

I've only played this game once with 2 people, but we had so much fun that I cannot wait to play with others. The longest part of this game is going over all the rules/nuances, but once you start playing it flies by. High replay-ability because you can try out a different strategy each time. The little meeples that come with the board are very high quality and the color throughout the game make it nice to look at while playing.

This game is amazing. I've played it a bunch with my wife at two players and we love it. It also works really well at higher player counts. It has a unique take on card-drafting, set collection, and engine building. It is a ton of fun! Oh, and the box's organization and the cards' beauty should also be mentioned.

This is an excellent game for newer gamers as well as experienced gamers.

This game was not on my radar at all. It was recommended by amazon when I purchased other games. I just reviewed it online and loved its style. We loved it a lot while playing. Too bad the expansions are not available. Great box. Great components. Good card size. No text at all. The manual was great explaining the game. Totally worth it. Worth more with expansions in my opinion.They should release it again with all expansions.

What hell this in Spanish. Also costs too much to return.
