I bought this for myself as a treat. The packaging is gorgeous. The soap itself is smaller than I thought it would be. However, according to the reviews it lasts a long time. I opened it up, and the smell was very strong, which I love. As other reviewers have noted, its fragrance is very strongly reminiscent of Irish Spring soap. However, this Hermes bar smells like it has a bit more anise fragrance, as well as another note that adds a warmth to it's bouquet. That being said, it is a fragrance that leans more towards the masculine end of the fragrance spectrum. Luckily, I've always liked the smell of Irish Spring, and I love the smell of this soap. When in use, it produces a creamy lather with small bubbles, instead of the large, foamy lather that we are used to from the usual detergent-laden bars and body washes we use. It's been 6 hours since I have showered, and I can still smell it on my skin. I also just went back in the bathroom for the first time after my shower and I can still smell this soap in the air, even though I rinsed it off, and put it back in its case and put it in my nightstand so that no other family members got into it and used it.I've only used it once, but so far I'm loving the fragrance, and I love how it makes my skin feel. When I go through this bar, I'm pretty sure I'll buy it again.UPDATE 12-28-2018 *** I stuck to only using this bar once every week or two, because I noticed fairly quickly that it doesn't last as long for me as it did for some reviewers. Even using it sparingly, the bar was noticeably smaller with each use. Even at that, I would have purchased another bar had the price remained around the $18 mark, which was what I paid for it. I logged on recently to order a bar for a friend as a Xmas present, and saw that the price had jumped to $30. For one small bar. Despite how much I love the fragrance, and enjoy the feel of it, it is with much regret that I had to curtail plans to purchase this soap again, for myself or anyone else. I simply cannot justify that price for 1 small bar of soap.

This lovely soap is found complimentary in the finest hotels of Europe so to be able to treat myself with this bar of soap is certainly special. It comes in a pretty dark green box. The aroma is a light orange blossom that remains for the during of the bar, not just scented on the surface. It is one of the nicest bars of soap I've ever used, and yes it is pricy but worth every moment to pamper oneself. It lasts and lasts. I would highly recommend!

This soap's fragrance is incredibly luxurious and Euro-sophisticated... the rich, intense citrus and wood smell is just swoonworthy. Smell is easily unisex... men, women and children will adore it. It's a big, chunky bar of soap in a beautiful case, an elegant, special gift indeed, and will last a good while. My B-I-L was thrilled to receive this for Christmas!

Though it's rare to find soap worth $50 (that I would ever pay for), Hermes soap stands as a unique exception. The quality is unparalleled, easily the finest I've ever encountered. My girlfriend, a physician and owner of more than ten+ Hermes bags, was initially skeptical about the soap's quality. However, the exceptional packaging and high-quality casing exceeded our expectations. This is a product that she would cherish for decades, a testament to its superior quality. I would highly recommend this product for its unmatched luxury experience.

So expensive but so amazing !!! A delight to shower using this soap and I specially like that the bathroom stays smelling like the soap for a long time. It’s delicious.

I love this soap.I really don't love the price tag, so I don't buy it very frequently, and I use it for storing blankets or seasonal clothing.However, the price aside, the clean, fresh smell this soap has is incredible. It fills the whole house with a relaxing aroma, leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed - without over drying or leaving me "ashy" like some other heavily perfumed soaps do.I am happy with it, I just with it weren't quite so pricy.

As I previously stated above unless you’re a millionaire this soap is a rip off! I can name two other luxury soaps for 1/5 the price ,that are a much better value. Soap is a hobby of mine and I know my soap and what’s good. I know Hermas is expensive, because when I was younger and single and needed a power outfit for my meetings I would buy a $220 tie from them but at least I could use it again and again. When this is gone it’s gone. And as I said before even when it’s here, there are much better luxury soaps.
