Overall great kit for the price
I ordered the wrong battery, I thought the watch was a Fenix 5 but it's actually a Fenix 3 that takes a 290 mAh battery. This one is smaller and it physically fits fine but it starts dropping battery percentage very quickly in the larger watch. The battery is assembled well, the connector fits perfectly and the included tools work great on the micro Torx screws. Overall a great kit.

Battery last 2 months
Liked the tool set that came with battery. Over time had to keep charging at shorter and shorter intervals until is stopped charging completely. Didn’t notice in the description when I purchased that battery is lithium polymer not lithium.

Fixed Garmin Fenix 5 dead battery
My 3 year old watch battery finally died. I discovered Garmin wants no part in selling replacements and wants to sell you a new watch. I googled online and people have step by step how to videos. I wouldn’t recommend for beginners. Very delicate to replace but not too bad. I went in through the back of the watch. The hardest parts is removing the d battery. Charged it and lasts 7 days with tracking my daily workouts. If didn’t track them it would last 10 days. I did notice after you charge to 100% battery drop to like 85 percent in a few hours. Since I saved $500 bucks on a new watch really don’t care. If I get a year out of battery will just replace again

Overall pretty decent.
The kit is pretty good. The battery itself is substantially smaller than the factory one and with that apparently comes substantially less battery life. Three days into having installed it (not very difficult to install if you’re handy), the charge lasts all day but barely. The factory battery when new would last three or four days if I stayed out of GPS and other high draw apps. I’ve had it off of charge wearing it for about an hour and a half as I type this and it’s already down to 71%. Overall I’m satisfied. I will eventually replace this with a battery with closer specifications to the factory one, but I didn’t want to spend a ton of money at first, not knowing how difficult the job would be. Better than a dead watch for now.

This battery is not a direct replacement, it's a substitution.
This battery is significantly smaller than the OEM battery with the same part number. I think the capacity is significantly less too. The new battery drains more than 10% per day and doesn't come close to the capacity of the original battery that drains less than 5% a day when new. I feel like I was bamboozled with this purchase.

So far so good
Battery did not charge fully on first try. Had nothing to do with the battery. I needed to clean my charge points with rubbing alcohol. Worked like a charm!

Here’s What I Can Tell You
One YouTube video that last approximately five minutes, two clips that are durable and only mildly challenging to unclip and re-clip, I now have a running Fenix 5. This is far cheaper than any Apple Watch I was thinking about replacing it with and certainly cheaper than upgrading to a new Fenix. Placed back on the charger and it is charging slowly like it used to. I will update my review if I should sense the watch overheating or if anything malfunctions but for less than $20, I would encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and see if you can’t replace it yourself! I will tell you that a small hooked tweezers towards the edge made this much easier to replace!

Slightly reduced capacity than original
I just used this to replace my 6yo Garmin fenix 5 battery. It works. Please note that the original battery part no. 361-0097 that I removed is rated 255mAh. So this battery at 230mAh has less capacity. After charging to 99 percent it immediately dropped to 85 percent, which may reflect this differing capacity, but is now holding the remaining charge well.
