Marvel Exclusive Legends Gear Classic Comic Captain America Shield Prop Replica

After reading several other reviews about problems with packaging and the product arriving with scratches I took a chance and ordered this shield as a Christmas gift for my son. Both could not be happier! The outside of the box showed signs of some rough handling at the corners but inside everything was in mint perfect condition. My son’s reaction when he finally ripped away enough paper was worth every dollar I paid. The shield itself is very impressive for a plastic toy.

I was a little nervous to buy this because I read a couple of reviews saying that there were a few minor defects on the paintjob. But when I got mine, I was so incredibly happy to see that (as far as my eyes can see) it is perfect. It's made of an extremely sturdy plastic, and it's a decent size. I would definitely say that I got my money's worth, and I cannot wait to display it along with my other Marvel collectables (Iron Man's helmet, Infinity Gauntlet, Power Gauntlet, and Mjölnir [which is en route to me as I type this]).

This was a much heavier quality shield than I expected and has a very nice finish. It will look great hanging on the wall as part of my office remodel and was a good value for the price.

When I took it out of the box, I could not believe the quality of this shield. What a great display piece. If you are a fan of Captain América, this is a must have.

i bought this after scrolling through hundreds of options. and after reading some reviews, looking over some pictures that have been posted of how the shield actually looked — i got it.the shield is cool, i do admit. i have no problems with it. it has a nice weight to it and nice feel. but my biggest issues are with the color. some said it was ‘metallic silvery white’ that is not the case for mine, it was just straight up white. that was a little bit of a disappointment for me due to seeing how some got a more metallic / darker colored shield.next , shipping. it came fast , it even came early. it came in a box that kept the actual box from being seen which is great for privacy. but when i opened the actual box containing the shield , the shield was loose. it wasn’t even connected to anything, and there wasn’t enough cardboard around it to protect it from damage. so now some of the plastic plates feel very wobbly, flimsy, and loose. i cant even pop them back into place. so that too was a disappointment.overall it’s okay, not too bad, not too good.it’s a good item for collectors if you can’t find an actual movie accurate shield.but i’m a little disappointed that the colors didn’t match the description, and i’m kind of upset over how the packaging was treated. because now i have to repaint it if i really want the metallic colors, and i’ll have to fix the loose plates.so buyers , the shield is good quality. has a nice weight. the straps are sturdy. definitely good for the price, and good addition for nerds. but don’t expect any of it to be metallic coloring, it’s more like bright white and red with a shine. and if you’re packaging is anything like mine, you might want to check and make sure your shield isn’t falling apart.

Love my captain america shield!! It is made really well, very durable, and very heavy and realistic for being plastic. Like that it has the straps on back, and it hangs on the wall ans looks great with my marvel collection!
