Phone no longer worked however battery would have been perfect

Battery worked in a Pinephone. Charged in a Pinephone external charger. So did all I needed.

Use to have to recharge my battery frequently now it lasts so long and recharges 100% within an hour.

After using my Samsung J7 cell phone for over 6 years, I decided to replace the battery even though the old battery still works. I am keeping the old battery as an emergency backup. The battery replacement procedure for the J7 is very easy. Remove the back of the cell phone, remove the old battery and put in the new one. No tools are required. I was disappointed that Samsung no longer offers replacement batteries for the J7 but it might have been all for the best. The Amazon battery works. Buying a battery at a local store (or at Samsung if it still carried them) would probably have cost me 3 or 4 times the Amazon price.

Old battery wouldn't hold a charge so I bought this one. It charges ok but same problem it doesn't last long. Maybe it's a mtg problem.

Since getting my Galaxy J7 one year ago, this is the second of these additional batteries I've had to get. I thought the first one was great until a few days ago, when it stopped holding a charge just like my original! Charging it would actively bring the % down. I went to look at my phone when it was at ~40%, and it just died immediately. I've never had these issues with other phones, so I don't think it's me. Hoping this second one will last, and if it does, I'll change my review but dang. During a pandemic, too?
